great product for the price
Comment:
this router was very simple but some options were a little confusing. This was my first wireless setup which probably explains that so i highly recommend this product. It took less than 15 minutes to set up even with my confusion.

Great Deal & Product
Comment:
This was my first time setting up a network in my home. I wish you would have provided step by step directions when shipping this product. The directions on where to find drivers drove me crazy. They were not listed under available resources on website. Determined not to be defeated I logged back on to Netgear's site and chose the wireless setup wizard and only after that I had a live connection....before doing this my laptop could see the network but couldn't access the Internet. We're all up and running in my household....

good luck with drivers
Comment:
I got the router/switch/adapter package and it all works fine, but lets not gloss over the five hours of searching for drivers and the head ache of getting my system to expect them. Poor directions would put it mildly. Spend a couple extra bucks and buy a package with and instalation CD.

Fast Setup
Comment:
This is my first day of using the product. I had a high-speed internet connection installed today, and this router merged seamlessly with the connection. I now have two desktops, a network printer, and multiple notebooks connected. The installation was a breeze, and I couldn't be happier. As far as actual performance, this router has done well so far. Granted, this is my first day using it, so if there are any bugs I've not had enough time to find them yet. Good choice if you are getting a router and need a simple set-up solution.

I'd buy another
Comment:
It is a great deal and the signal strength is better than that of my linksys... the only problem waas that my ISP doesnt provide a DNS so I spent hours trying to bypass this on the router until I finally just used a public one. (Like 4.2.2.2 and 4.2.2.3) I hope this helps someone

adequate, nothing special
Comment:
I purchased this to replace a device fried by lightning. It is installed at a public park. The price and performance are good, but the extended range claims are marketing. Don't expect any miracles, this is a part 15 device, operating at limited transmit power. No magic antenna effects. The flickering LED is neat, though.

RangeMIN (not MAX)
Comment:
This wireless router's range is no worse than my old Belkin G router that fried in a lightning storm. My adapter is a Netgear WPN111 too! It doesn't cost a lot (and it does work), but I'd forget about the RangeMAX hype. It should be called RangeMIN.

Good price but difficult set up
Comment:
The blue lights are indeed stunningly bright, so I'm grateful the router remains in a part of the house that I never have to visit. I haven't tested the distance or range of the network, so can't say much about that. So if you've got time to kill or know how to set up routers, the price on the refurbished router is worth it.

I don't know too much about the networking arena, however what I do know is that this is a great ptoduct. Granted I've only had it for about a month now, but there have been no issues and it works flawlessly. It's definitely a good value.

Good alternative to a stock WRT54G
Comment:
My Linksys units in the field kept having WAN port failure (dead hardware no firmware fix). These units are operating much better than the Linksys units, and you can't beat the price even if it is a refurbished unit.

I picked this wireless router up to replace an old model that was having range issues. Unit arrived and worked like a charm out of the box. No software needed to install, just dialed up the web interface and got everything working in five minutes.

Great Value - Good as New
Comment:
I am a technical professional looking for a great router at a reasonable price. Factory refurbished units are usually as reliable as standard units, without the warranty. After recieving this router, I plugged it in and had it running with security in under 10 minutes using the built in wizard. There are a ton of easy to use features for port forwarding, DMZ, etc. Excellent range and throughput speed. Highly recommended.

Great buy!!
Comment:
Came via UPS very timely. As the other reviewers said, only took about 5 mins to install! Great signal all over the house, fast and reliable. No disconnects as I've had with previous routers. For Adults or network Administrators, the website blocking function is fantastic. Personally, I block torrenting on my network for certain designated days to prevent lag. Many great features. Overall fantastic product. Don't judge this router by it's price, it can compete with the higher priced models any day.

Another Great Netgear Product
Comment:
The router works wonderfully and is also quite attractive at the same time. I like that I am able to turn the blue LED's off as this can become an annoyance when you are trying to sleep. The configuration interface is as easy as you can possibly get which is a high point. I have the router on my nightstand in one corner of the house and at any given time there could be as much as 6 wireless connections and 1 wired XBOX connection. The signal quality is excellent even in the furthest part of the house and my home is not small. I could speak about a few minor improvements though. When I replaced my old Netgear router I was unable to copy and past the Blocked Keyword list into the new router. I had to type each keyword in one at a time. I have noticed that the keyword list seems to stop accepting input after about 2 dozen words. Strange. Overall I am happy with Netgear, again.

I use this in combination with another router to get service to my workshop. Saws, motors, phones, refrigerators- all of these caused poor service -but no more.

Good Deal
Comment:
If you've never set up a router before, it's kind of annoying buying a refurbished unit without the setup software. You'll get minimal help from the company due to warranty issues and the refurbished status of the hardware. Once you get through that, it's a breeze. The router itself is great, performance is reliable.

Comment:
No only was it an excellent deal, it was easy to install and the wizard was simple. I've had some trouble in the past securing my network but, the wizard made it simple and haven't had any problems with it's performance. I've recommended the WPN824NA router to all my friends that are looking to setup a wireless network.

Great Buy
Comment:
Another great recertified product from this site. Unit arrived today, plugged it in, powered it up and Bang, was online, with no less than 85% signal strength throughout my 3 story house. Easy setup for wpa2 and it's working flawlessly with all my Ubuntu and Windows systems. The whole family is connected (6 computers) and it has not dropped connection yet. If you feel better buying new, then do so to get a pretty full color retail box...but don't be afraid to snap this deal up before they are gone.
