Mine was completely a piece of Junk. Booted on once and then everything went dead. Buyers beware!!! Some of these items are completely bad while some are fair when they claim they're refurbished. So, if you're not very lucky, you will be shipped the bad ones. And remember, no returns and so it could be money flushed down the toilet. They're just making money off us with Junks like thses. Saddddddddddddddd indeedddddddd!!!

the item is refurbished, you have to download the software. site has been down since the day i bought it! still have not got the software so i just not do the password thing and plugged it in and it was ready to go. i hope i can get the software soon as i want a secure network. this item is refurbished but worked great out of the box! the range on this is really great and works from anywhere in my 2 story house without fail. the only drawback is not being able to download the software for this devise since it did not come with it because of being a refurbished unit.

First off, love electronics but not tech-savvy. I don't even know how many mbps is good for a router or if saying that even makes sense! Anywho, I'm always skeptical about refurbished models of anything, especially since I don't trust myself with the unfamiliar realms of networking, but took a chance w/ this one as it was almost a steal at $28.94 w/ s&h. Works great and have had no problems. The only issue is with the actual manual. There's a couple of errors in the downloadable manual that may confuse a newbie - just refer to the earlier site addresses in the manual when logging into the router and look at the labels on the router itself when connecting cables. Refurbs don't come with the easy set-up CD or manual, but you can still set it up by yourself. I recommend you print off the manual if you're unsure of yourself before trying to set it up OR have a second computer displaying the manual to save paper as you will need to turn the main computer off during installation.

The technology in this router is amazing! It can connect from farther away and have the same speed if your right next to it! I replaced a router at my girlfriend's house with this one. She went from getting signal from a room or two away (upstairs)to everywhere in the house!

Why did I wait so long to buy this? I don't know, but it is a great performing wireless router. Can use both the LAN ports and wireless connections. This was my first experience with installing a wireless router for my home use, and I am very satisfied with this one.

Received this "low" priced product 2 days after I placed the order. Upon arrival I plugged the unit into the modem and powered it up. It took a few easy steps to make it work. I am using 3 laptops, and all 3 have no problem communicating with this device. It is not as powerful as some of the routers I have, however, for the price of $ 16.00 this is not bad. I am using this router when traveling , I would not use it as a primary wireless device though, not powerful enough, better use a n router.

I didn't realize that the item was recertified when I purchased it. It works like a charm. I just had to plug it in and wow it worked. Thanks for great deals like this one.

This is a nice unit, but I had to have my computer savy friend come the house to configure it properly. It didn't work .. "out of the box". Not good for a neophyte like me. It also doesn't have the "max range" that I was expecting. My AT&T modem does just as well...or better....most of the time. Still, it seems to provide a signal, sometimes when the modem doesn't. It's an "OK" buy.

the item is refurbished and i am not computer illiterate the web site where you have to download the software has been down since the day i bought it! I just said forget it to the password and plug and played it... anyone that wants a secure network i do not recommend buying a referb item!

I've had this for about a week and have had no problems at all. No dropped signals, fast speeds, no xbox 360 lag ectect. I would recomend this to a friend.

I bought one of these refurbished two years ago for 34.99 and it has worked great through out the whole house except when going through the concrete floor. I saw this router for 19.99 (no rebate), so I had to buy another to cover the area above the concert floor.

Difficult to find set up method. No set up disk included. No Serial number on product. Was told that Netgear would not assist without serial number so you are on your own.

I have 2 that need recert agian. Got 2 though I was doing something wrong and have never had problems like this from tiger before. waranty gone need more time 2 test then 30 days. Over 3/4 of these items bad out of box.

I am delighted with this router. My computer skills are a little beyond novice so I needed something easy to set up and use. This wireless router is a refurbished item, but it works well. (After downloading the software, it was '' a piece of cake '' to use.) I am very satisfied. The plus is that shipping is so fast.

I just plugged this into my pc and my cable modem, turned everything off and them back on one at a time, and it works great! Wired connection seems faster then it ever was, wireless works fine on the other end of the house. I'd recommend this to anyone - I can't tell ours from a 'new' one.

I bought it hoping for something decent, and I got less than I had expected. Every other review that I read talked about how awesome this thing is, and how great the signal is. Fine; it gets a great signal. What it doesn't do is maintain that signal. I get bumped off of this thing as a matter of course, and if i have anything that requires a very steady signal, i have to use an ethernet cable. Not a horrible piece, but I wouldn't buy it again unless I had to.
