Netgear RangeMax Wireless Router - 802.11b/g with Smart MIMO

This router works well and was fairly easy to install. Manufacturer support when I tried to register the router was very poor. There is a huge flashing blue light on the side. I have no idea what it is for but it is very annoying. I had to turn it to the wall.

Very good buy for $20 bucks. Installed easily and worked outstandingly. For a Router that came with no software and no disk all resources were readily available on line. This retailer can list me as another satisfied customer!

We bought this router for use with a laptop. First of all there was no install cd nor was there any instructions. We looked up book on internet but still after not being able to get installed and working we called for some tech support. We were told that because it was a Recertified product from their company no less they were unable to help. We ended up returning this for a Linksys. I called linksys tech support and she walked me through every step needed.

Overall I am very happy with the product. The product was very easy to set up right out of the box for me. It also works very well the signal strength is always good.

Thanks for offering such a great product at a great price. Netgear's Wireless router throws a signal so strong that I can pick it up at my dad's house which is over 150 feet away. The signal has to pass through 5 walls to get to my dads living room, but I can still go online at his house with my laptop. I can move anywhere in my single level home, outside in the yard or under my trees at my picnic table and will not, and have not lost the signal output from Netgear's device. In fact I will be making my dads cpu wireless, allowing him to attain high speed at his home (we depend on satellite internet for high speed). I will definitely buy again from this retailer and Netgear. Great product and a steal for the money!

This wireless router works good. Because it is a refurbished item it does not come with a manuel, but one is available on line. Having programmed numerous ones before it is easy to set up. If you have no experience with programming a router it may be quite difficult to get it just the way you want it. For the money it is a great value!

This is a very good router for the price. It works great but I don't think it works any better than my d-link di-524 though.

Received WPN824v3 within a few days of ordering. Works great. I was nervous about installation on VISTA operating system, but had no problem. Here is what I did: Download PDF manual and follow the instructions for MANUAL Setup that start on page 7. Basically, all you have to do is: 1. Start with your computer, router, modem, etc all powered down. 2. Connect router as described 3. Power on modem (wait 2 min), then router (wait 1 min) then computer 4. Open web browser, type one of the URLs listed in the manual, and enter username (admin) and password (password). 5. When the page opens, it automatically checks for a firmware update (none for v.3) and then displays basic settings. I was replacing a broken router so I just accepted the default settings and clicked Test. Worked perfectly!

Plug'N'Play. Easy setup. Punched a key to secure the network and 2 laptops and 1 desktop were surfing the web in less than 15 minutes. Was replacing a self-destructed Linksys WRT54G.

Fairly easy setup. (must downlowd drivers) Have 4 primary computers (Vista, 2 XP, and 1 Linx) all conneted easily. My 1st recert purchase I am pleased.

Piece of junk. Drop wireless connection after 10min. I've upgraded firmware and tested with several different devices. Slip in the box says return defective product to seller. Waste of time and money!

I'm not the most computer savy, but this was pretty darn easy to set up. Got 3 comps and a xbox360 online in about 20 minutes. So far so good!

It was kind of a pain to set up, as there was no setup cd. I went online to download the information,and finally got the setup done. I have had no issues since installation. I have throughly enjoyed this product. Great range, no problems. I am very happy with this product for the price!!!

Setup was a breeze. Other than I had to download the driver. Ohh Well. Range is Great. If you can get your hands one one, certainly worth the small investment.

im not great at computer hardware and this product reinforced that. the setup took forever,the online support was terrible, the signal kept fading in and out do not buy this product ! i bought a linksys i believe i spelled that correctly for about 60 bucks and it has performed great, easy setup, great customer support. don't forget to be hooked up to your lap top during setup .
