Lousy Company-Do not buy from these people
Comment:
I bought these adapters and neither one of them worked. I had to pay postage to return them and I was never reimbursed for the postage. I spoke with a supervisor who said to fax in a copy of the postage receipt, which I did. They did not respond to it or give me back my postal money. I have never dealt with such arrogant, incompetent people and this company is a rip-off. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY !!! There are plenty of great companies online who are honest and respectable. I suggest you deal with them and not this one... Terrible products, terible customer service.

problematic
Comment:
It works but seems to be slow, and the signal is weaker than other wireless adapters. It is OK for that price because it is refurbished.

Great value
Comment:
Installation was very easy - downloaded & installed the driver and plugged it in. Worked fine under Win 2K, XP, and Vista. Excellent range with my Netgear routers at home and office. The only downside (same with most USB devices nowadays) is the incredibly stiff cable they supply with it. Considering the low (recertified) price it's an excellent value.

Don't Miss This One!
Comment:
Put simply, it works like a charm! This adapter worked perfectly right out of the box--truly plug-and play. The price is unbeatable, and the kit includes an extension cord--so you can be sure the adapter will work with any USB port. I'm considering buying 2 more to make updating the kids' computers easier. It will never be easier or less expensive to set up your wireless network!

Finally got it right

Hubby is always pointing out what I do wrong when I buy online. But, not this time. He is very happy with this adapter. We had no problems downloading the drivers from Netgear and now he can do his stuff on the laptop while I do my work on the desktop.

No complaints. Adapter has been running fine for 4 weeks on a desktop PC with Windows XP. Drivers were downloaded from Netgear website.

I wouldn't buy this again. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. If it weren't for the expense I'd return it.

for the money I can't complain. We have a small house and have no trouble getting a signal. I guess it would be nice to include the driver but if you have an external drive you can find em. ( U GET WHAT U PAY 4 )

Not worth the bother
Comment:
I was able to buy this very cheaply, and it was generally well-rated, so I hoped it would provide better wireless connectivity than the internal Intel wireless adapter that came with my laptop. Unfortunately, the Netgear adapter was PATHETIC at pulling in signals, far inferior to the cheap Intel adapter that came with my ThinkPad. Really, just about useless for out-and-about computing, and even at home it would not work well unless I was one room away or closer to my router. Even more stupidly, the install was a huge pain. I have to download the driver to get the adapter to work? What if I were buying the adapter because I couldn't currently connect to the net? Idiotic. I ended up giving the Netgear adapter to a friend, for free, and hopefully she'll somehow get more use out of it than I did.

good for people with no other option
Comment:
Im a gamer. So this was a bad choice for me. I game for at least two hours at a time, this lasted me 45 minutes of the slowest connection, then turned itself off. It overheats after use, you then have a half hour of no connection to cool it down, then another 45 minutes of below standard connection.

Great product for the money. The only difficulty I had was downloading the drivers for the PC I was installing it on. I had to use a different computer to download the driver and tranfer the files to a flash drive. Then install it on the pc that I purchased it for. Because I couldnt get and internet connection without installing it first. I had no problems at all and it works great. The does lock up somethimes but just unplug and reinstall.

Works Great for the Price

I got this to attach to a media PC that is in another room than my router. There are several walls between the PC and the router and it gets an excellent signal. I'm very happy with this.

Works fine, but hard to install
Comment:
This product did not come with the installation software. Instead, it came with a slip of paper giving the website where you could get the software. Well, that's all well and good, but what if you can't GET there because you need to install the wireless adapter first? Anyway, I got the software on another of our computers, and then downloaded it to the one that needed the wireless adapter installed. And it works fine. The utility is especially good.

don't know
Comment:
I could not get the netgear wireless N router to work at all so I don't know how the adapter works. I'm not going to spend an hour with tech support to get my router working. I'd rather stick with my wireless G than do that. I may try the adapter later to see if it works with wireless G but I'm too disenchanted right now.
