GARMIN nüvi 265WT 4.3" GPS with FM Live traffic

I received my unit within two days of order using standard shipping. I own two Garmin marine products and this one performed as expected. After the initial acquisition of satellites, the unit startup is instantaneous. Upgrading the software was painless and the Garmin website is friendly and loaded with information. A downloadable free map update is available when you register your unit. The provided traffic information service works well and is accurate. A good carry case is a must since the unit is portable. Volume and brightness are both excellent. Bluetooth enabled although phone book will not import from a cu720. All other Bluetooth functions work fine. Garmin products are user friendly and reliable.

The names of many roads in rural Nova Scotia are way wrong. In my area, it seems if they were not sure - they just called it Highway 376. Turn right on Hwy 376 after I've been on another road which they also called 376. In fact, my older Garmin (by over a year) had more accurate street names than this one. Go figure! But in a larger city - it's fine. No traffic reports in Canada either.

The GPS is just as described. I got the garmin yesterday and I ordered it 2 days ago! I was very surprised at how quickly I got it.

I've owned this GPS for several months now. I ahve used it around town, on trips and vacation. I was weary of a refurb, but it came in excellent condition with a map update. I researched a GPS for quite a while to find all the features that were important to me. Modes - automobile, pedestrian, bicycle. You can take it out of your car and use it to walk around with or bike ride. Not all GPS's have this feature and this was very important to me. If I'm visiting a city and needed my GPS to get there, I'll more than likely want to use it once I'm walking around to find restaurants, bars, museums, anything really. Traffic Receiver - This wasn't a req. for me but it came in hand. Speedometer - It shows how fast you're going and the speed limit of where you're driving; quite useful for those speed trap roads where the speed limits aren't visible. Con - Trying to use bluetooth and traffic the unit sometimes freezes.

VERY NICE GPS!!! Worked GREAT right out of the box! (after registration etc.) Could use a bit more volume though. The bluetooth phone connection is AWESOME! People I've called with it cannot tell I'm on a cell phone!! Lots of neat features, which I am enjoying. EcoDrive etc. And A TRUE VALUE FOR THE MONEY!! Downloaded the ''Latest maps'' and they're over 5 years old. In the computer world, this is ancient. Garmin will get a phone call about this! I would however recommend purchasing this unit. A GREAT value for it's price.

Was a little concerned at first as it seemed to take a long time to get the satellite, but then it connected and it has been on target as soon as I turn it on every since. Downloaded map updates easily, connected to the Blue Tooth easily. I haven't been anywhere there is traffic data yet, so can't speak to that part. Small sign that shows local speed limit is not alway correct.

Very good display, easy to use, love the heads up on upcoming turns and correct lane to be in and ability to zoom in or out to see the big picture of the road ahead. Excellent choice

Order product on Monday, received on Friday. Product worked right out of the box. Installed the free traffic updates with no problems. Cell phone connected to device (via Bluetooth) with no problems. Use the device next day to travel from NJ to Chesapeake, Va. Never using a GPS device before, I made a turn or two prematurely but the GPS recalculated my route (within several seconds) and I was back on track. I'm satisfied with my GPS device because I got just what I expected. My suggestion to anyone interested in getting a GPS device: 1. Do your homework 2. Make a list of your expectations 3. Research the products 4. Read reviews from people who purchased the products 5. Purchase the device that meet your needs.

The bluetooth does not work with palm pre even though someone stated it did that is why I purchased the volume is ok but not clear. This is misleading when you read it on line and it is a bad reply.

I bought this 265W WT unit for my son.I tested it and its Not receiving signal out of box. DOA. You would think the manufacture would test it before shipping? Guess that is what we are for and how come there are so many refurbished units out there. Love my 680 except for manufacture Dropping it and not covering it any longer. Why is the manufacture still selling gps with road conditions M.S.N DIRECT when M.S.N is discontinuing its service in 2012?

I'm not entirely satisfied with this GPS, mainly due to the fact that when I choose audio transfer to the phone, it doesn't hold the option for the next call. Although you have the option to transfer audio to your phone, you have to select the option for every single time that you Do Not want the device working as a blue tooth. Why not just holding my option until when I select otherwise.

I had one of these and used it on a long distance trip across Texas. If I had not made the trip a hundred times this thing had me taking back roads regardless of how I planned the trip for fastest, shortest, etc. in town it is pretty good. If you are really unfamiliar pull up mapquest first.

Bought this unit on sale for $170 (new, not refurb). Used it on a 1000 km trip and it was flawless. Clear instructions and a fast, easy route. Traffic information was good, although actual traffic was a little better than the GPS suggested. Screen is clear and self-adjusts to light conditions. Volume needs to be at or near max at highway speeds to counter road noise, but is fine. Bluetooth works well with my Palm Pre. Absolutely no complaints with this GPS.

This is the best GPS that i have ever owned,second to none. It is very easy to operate, and the street and traffic functions are great, have taken this on several long trips and i give it an EXCELLENT rating all round. Gramin is a great product. This is the third GPS i have owned, and this one out lasted the other two,thanks for the quick shippment.

This is my first GPS and it was great on a recent trip we took to PA. Wish it stayed charged longer but having the adapter works for me. It was a bit annoying when we made a location error and couldn't correct it for a long time. Don't even know how we corrected it but it worked. Any suggestions? Coming back from our trip we made a wrong turn but the GPS got us on the right track! It was comforting to have! Love the fact that it gives street names!!!!

Had had Tom Tom before which lead me to get a new one. This one is pretty awesome. Use it on your basic route, go the way you normaly go and in a couple days remembers everything.

This my 2nd Garmin GPS. I purchased the upgraded model, since I gave the older version to my son. The upgraded model it outstanding. I love the bluetooth feature, I'm able to make phone calls hands free my blackberry cell phone. That was very simple to connect to the GPS. I also enjoy the feature that tells me how fast I'm driving along with displaying the current speed limit. I highly recommended the GPS.

2 days after I purchased the Nuvi 265WT i broke the piece that connects to the beanbag. I wrote to Garmin and they promised they would get back to me in 2 days of less - it's now over 2 weeks. Not a real serious problem, but what would their response be if I did have a serious problem.

Never used a GPS before. Within minutes I was able to have the product running. We used it in our first trip. The trip was without incidence and used it a lot at the new location with succes. Great in cities. I'll buy it again anytime.
