Have a small mobile business. Purchased three of these and so far they are a HUGE improvement over our old units. Being in LA area, trafic moves quickly (sometimes) so the streetnames and directions being clear and accurate are a help. Setup is a breeze. My iphone address book is there too - that is awesome! The only disapointment is the bluetooth volume. Would still recommend highly.

I have had several Garmins, but this is the best so far. It connects in less than a minute and the features are awesome. My old 350nuvi would take 5 min to connect. Also the 265 kept track of the sats while it was locked in the car console!!! Best GPS on the market for the price!!!!

I searched high and low for the perfect GPS for my boyfriend for Christmas. I exhausted myself. It was awful but, I do my best to supply the perfect gift. He named a number of options that he was looking for in a GPS and after all of my shopping, this one seemed to suit what he was looking for. We tested it out and it works perfect. The screen is easy to read and the speech is clear. Be sure to check out all the added details and features. It is definitely worth it.

Never having owned a Garmin, I decided to upgrade based on cnet-reviews and customer review rating. I am pleased to report the ease at which I was able to set up and start using the GPS, right out of the box. Garmin also issued a free map upgrade to be downloade within 90 days after registration. The features are simple, big (in size) and user friendly. Although, I found the bluetooth to be a bit dissapointing, regarding volume amplification. The sound is not loud enough with the window down or if you are playing music. I have not had an opportunity to test the accuracy of the traffic report updates, but I particularly like the lifetime traffic service update. Battery life was exceptional, I have gone several hours without having to recharge. Overall, my opinion of this product is that it is a great deal for the money invested. It offers some high-end features for a mid-range economical price. Good Luck with your search, I hope this helped.

We live in the center of Seattle and it shows our location twenty numbers off, even after upgrading the software. My wife would like it to think for her, but I tell her it's just a convenient map. You still have to use your eyes and some common sense. It seems to be a little more accurate other places, within 2-3 houses. The hands free is decent for short calls (you shouldn't be talking and driving anyway) We have a pretty loud call and can hear well enough, but it would get irritating if you were chatting your way home for work (don't do it!. Pay attention to the road and live to see you fried in person)

Worked perfect right our of the box. Acquired satellites quickly and accurately. I have a Tom Tom and a Mio and this out performed both.

After reading about all the different GPS's, I ordered the garmin 265. It was high rated in PC WORLD. It arrived in 3 days. After the download for the unit, I left on a 400 mile trip. The unit worked better than I had hoped for. It showed me streets that I didn't even know existed. Great for I-10 Rest stops also.

SHOULD PROBABLY DONE MORE HOMEWORK. PROBABLY CULD HAV GOT IT AT A LOWER PRICE FROM OTHER RETAILERS. WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION I WOULD NEED ADDITIONAL HOLDER WHICH I PURCHASED AND WAS NOT NEEDED. ALSO SOME OF THE DIRECTIONS IT HAS GIVEN US IS TO ROUTE US IN CIRCLES. BE CAREFUL AND CHECK YOUR DIRECTIONS.

This Garmin is easy to use and aquires satelite very fast. I used to own a Navigon and it took a long time to aquire the satelite signal and froze up so that I couldn't even access my favorites.

Please note that the initial download of maps will take a l o n g time, and no one said this. I wasn't prepared for this! And, it would be helpful to have phone numbers included with places of interest...just because things aren't always as accurate as they are supposed to be.

I couldn't help but to notice the recent price hike. I got mine, in store, for much less, three weeks ago. So, the increase is interesting to me. It easily lives up to video reviewer's statements. However, the address database is extremely weak. As a result, you have to default to external resources or other work-arounds. So, I'm subtracting 4 performance stars, since Garmin took 170 stars from my wallet for this database-less unit. Despite that major shortcoming, it's a wonderful unit, as I no longer get lost when I'm out and about. I really don't see how I managed without it. Hey, and maybe that's because I wasn't managing, you know? I mean, I needlessly wasted time, gas and energy. Be sure to get a silicon skin that comes with a belt clip on the backside and a bean bag GPS holder. That way, when you reach your destination, you can toss the holder aside and take the unit with you to prevent theft.

I've searched almost one month to buy GPS. This is the one which has affordable price and great features. I paid $160 for 265WT and got $20 cashback via bing on Christmas sale. Now, I'm not lost on the road with 265WT anymore. Free life-time traffic is not a big deal. I don't think it helps me at all. Only complaint for 265WT is that cell phone contact list doesn't show up properly via bluetooth. I can see only one fifth of my contacts through GPS. But calling & receiving phone call through GPS is perfect. I don't use my bluetooth anymore.

This GPS is one of the best, some people think the 285 is better since it is newer, but with research done this one exceeds. I love this gps easy to use, and the handsfree calling comes in very handy. Great Deal

I wanted this GPS for a relative who doesn't even own a computer. My main fear was that she would find the use of the device intimidating. My fears were unwarranted. This GPS is so easy to use and offers the most important basic functions in an extremely simple way. I did help her with the initial setup, which was also quite simple, but I would recommend this GPS to anyone. Bravo Garmin.
