Awesome Product Amazing Price
Comment:
Bouught this product to replace an older wired only uinit that died on me after five years.Went with the Linksys due to the fact it is made by Cisco. The recertified unit looked and worked like brand new. The speed is amazing, and the unit was a breeze to set up. I am very impressed and would definitely reccomend this router.

Not Workable with Extra Hookups
Comment:
This reviews the refurbished product. First, the software was hard to get running, but once I did, it was not easy to follow, especially the security part. Software is as-is. Did not work with our VOIP hardware. We put the old router back. At least it works. Can't return. Stuck with it.

Great Upgrade for the price!
Comment:
I am very iffy getting refurbished products but when I saw the price I said it is just too good to pass. From a Wireless-G to a Wireless-N for $30 is really good. Runs well, doesn't give me an error when I have 3 units connected wirelessly (PS3, laptop and TiVo)Good buy!

Good value, minimal hassles
Comment:
This router definitely suits most of my needs. The major criterion I look for in a router is: how often does the wireless network go down? With this router, the answer is almost never. The only problem I've had with this router is that it will not connect to my Wii system, but I think this is more the fault of Nintendo than Linksys.

It needs alot of work so people can use it!
Comment:
I am sorry to have to write this review as a complete negative but this router is the worst item I have ever worked with from Cisco! From start to finish was horrible, the program that comes with it is written badly, it software and router are why to slow to work with, and the worst is having to call Cisco to try and get a RMA number I hung up on the worst customer service I have ever had from Cisco! I was also sent a review from Cisco and they have received the same horrible review. Pay attention to the other reviews as they are correct this router is BAD! DO NOT PURCHASE IT

Maybe I have no luck this time?
Comment:
I would think Linksys has very reliable network product, even though it is refurbished. I was wrong. This 160N function very good in wired connection, but for wireless, it is lower than my Free after rebate non brand G router, even slower than my 7 years ago B router. It's comparable with Dial-up, because it first boost 130mbps (exciting), and then in 10 second, it run in very stable and constant 1-2mbps. I was an IT professional and network is part of my think, I try to config it, It just simply doesn't work. I return it. and get Netgear WNR3500 refurbished. That runs super! and with gigabyte LAN too.

I follow every step on the manual and nothing would work. I try to install it in two different computers same results and since there is no returns, it looks like I am stuck with it.

Super Value
Comment:
Great range using MIMO technology, improved my connection speed for my laptop from 2-4 bar to constant 5 bars. Previous router was Linksys wrt54g and worked OK. This is using my laptop's built-in G wi-fi adapter. Signal strength with Netgear WN111 is not stellar on G or N, but when configured to use 20 and 40 GHZ (Auto) not the default 20ghz only, I can connect at 300Mbps. I think the signal strength issue is with the NetGear adapter, not the router.

Great Price Great product
Comment:
This was about half the price of the exact same model in a local store and has worked great since I pulled it out of the box. I have had no problems at all with it for the last 2 months and do not foresee having any issues to come.

This replaces old Linksys zapped by lightning. Found everything 2 printers, notebook and 2 wi-fi computers 1 is Win 98. Had to unplug for a min for browser to locate 168.xxx router address.

Router was DOA
Comment:
I should have trusted negative reviews on other sites about this router. First of all, it's not specified in product details what version WRT160N is for sale. I received WRT160N v.2 which is known for weaker signal in comparison with v.1 and its firmware also is not upgradable from original to DD-WRT. I could live with it if router worked. But it didn't. I tried to follow instructions from provided CD first, my PC was never able to find the router. I tried to hit 192.168.0.1 from browser - same results. Configuration menu never appeared. Router goes back to TigerDirect.

I like Lynksys
Comment:
I use networking software and that works well with Linksys routers. I do not like the ''WiFi Protected Set-up'' function as I have a fairly complicated network and it's better for me to manually config. But, the speed is awesome. I do lots of wireless in-home file transfer and server stuff, so the speed really adds to that.

I took it offline and hooked my old 802.11b back!
Comment:
At first this wireless router worked fine, but after a few days I started getting intermittent connects. Like the previous user, I had to repair or reset numerous times a day. I don't recommend this wireless router. I am going to look for another model in the future and see if I can get a refund on this one from Tiger Direct.

Nice product when it works
Comment:
This would be a great router if it did not drop off line so often. I have to repair connection 6-8 times a day. Linksys could not help. When it works the speed is great.

Re-certified vs re-boxed
Comment:
I got all the way to step 5 and can not get beyond. Although the indicators are illuminated, it will not recognize that it is plugged into the 120 line. I'm at a dead end. It took 2 days to get my internet up and running again after it screwed up my connects. RMA on the way.
