Mostly good...
Comment:
It's not a bad router, and for the money, worth every penny, but it doesn't seem to get along with Windows 7 very well. Or maybe it's Asus, but either way, I have to reset the router everytime I power up my new laptop. No problem with my OTHER 3 computers (Mac OS-X Snow Leopard, Windows XP, and Windows Vista) which all get on fine, just the new one with 7. Maybe I have the settings wrong? I'm sure I'll keep using Linksys, and for the money, again, worth every penny... now if my wife would just learn how to reset the router...

Great piece of equipment
Comment:
Replaced a linksys draft n wireless router with this little lady . . . easy set up right out of the box, reliable with far fewer drops than previous model and able to support two laptops, two desktops, a Wii, PS3 with great speed and range. Single band, but for my needs this was a smart purchase. I would recommend to family and friends.

Good Product
Comment:
Although my old desktop would not run the setup CD, I just plugged the new router in and powered everything down and it came up fine. I do have some issues with the signal being lost, so I'm not sure what the issue is there, haven't had time to diagnose if it's with the peripherals or the router.(Hence the 4 on Performance) Bought the refurbished product and it's going well so far.

Finally They Got it Right
Comment:
My opinion of this product is based on past experienced with Linksys which was less than desirable. Now with thew new software setting up the network is a breeze. So far I have done several customer networks with linksys with mo problems.

Works Great, Compatible with dd-wrt
Comment:
So far, so good. Was shipped promptly, wouldn't bother with software that came with it (LELA), I flashed it immediately with dd-wrt v24 and its working wonderfully for a network with 12 users connecting via WAN and LAN. Range is noticably better than a G router. Good value for the money. Wish it had a way to filter LAN MAC addresses but you can't have everything.

Works fine
Comment:
I don't see why you would want to pay a lot for something that works fine for a lower price. I've had no problems with this unit.

Great Price, Horrible Performance
Comment:
I came across this router and for the great price wanted to get a wireless N router, so I quickly purchased it. I am a web developer and a an avid gamer. This product was horrible when it came to high throughput, it could not handle the load I was putting on the router. Whenever I was gaming, or doing other extensive broadband applications, the latency went out the roof. I had to RMA this router, and for the time being I am connected directly to my modem until I get another router. I recommend not getting this product.

Can't beat it for the money
Comment:
These were so cheap I bought 2. Using the first for my main access point. Both desktop with Linksys dualband N PCI card and my laptop are much faster surfing than on my old Netgear G router. Wasn't expecting that since the ISP connection should be the bottleneck. Had no problem connecting HP wireless printer as well. Flashed the second router with DD-WRT firmware and have it configured as a client bridge for home theater devices.(Read the DD-WRT Wiki thouroughly before attempting) Way cheaper than a wireless bridge and more functionality. Entire setup is working great. Tech savy users may want to skip installing the supplied software and just configure using the web GUI. Thou Easylink Advisor is the only way to see all attached devices (not in web GUI like my old Netgear).

Nice piece of equipment
Comment:
Plugged this in and it works great. It does use 192.168.1.xx as the default address and my old one used 192.168.0.xx so I had to do some configs on equipment that uses a fixed address but no big thing.

Solid Performer
Comment:
Got it working after some initial difficulty detecting an internet connection when using standard set-up -- finally had to install the included software-setup-helper. Range and strength of the signal seems about the same as the wireless G router I had previously, so that was a little disappointing.

I upgraded from an old Netgear wireless-B router so this is blazingly fast comparatively. No problems whatsoever (1.5 months in) and very happy with the purchase

Comment:
The router is working great after four attempts to install. Didn't ask for the extra security but got it anyway. Will have to wait for it to expire in a few days. The devise is hooked up for my laptop and works great for that. Haven't tested it for distance, not what I needed it for.

Not an Access point client
Comment:
I bought two of these based on the Access point being included in the description. I wanted one as a standard wireless bridge to expand the single ethernet port of my DSL modem to 4 wired ethernet connections and broadcast wireless signals to my other PCs with wireless adapter. In this mode it works great. However, I wanted to use the other as a wireless access point client for my DVR. It is not designed to work in this service. It was such a good value I kept it to upgrade another network from G to N.

I bought this on sale and it was a steal!! It works great. No issues what so ever. Excellent coverage everwhere in the house and out on the front porch. I am running Windows 7 and there were no issues whatsoever. I highly recommend this product. It was a great upgrade to my existing home network.

Fast N speed kills
Comment:
Scared the pooh outta me to buy a refurb. Both me and the Mrs. share this router, both download at approx. 130kbs each as well as surf while downloading on 1.5 mbps dsl. Gets it done, had mine for over a month and still going since startup. No reboots, no lag, no disconnects and best of all, NO freeloaders, password protected. Get one, you won't regret.
