Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterFirst off, love electronics but not tech-savvy. I don't even know how many mbps is good for a router or if saying that even makes sense! Anywho, I'm always skeptical about refurbished models of anything, especially since I don't trust myself with the unfamiliar realms of networking, but took a chance w/ this one as it was almost a steal at $28.94 w/ s&h. Works great and have had no problems. The only issue is with the actual manual. There's a couple of errors in the downloadable manual that may confuse a newbie - just refer to the earlier site addresses in the manual when logging into the router and look at the labels on the router itself when connecting cables. Refurbs don't come with the easy set-up CD or manual, but you can still set it up by yourself. I recommend you print off the manual if you're unsure of yourself before trying to set it up OR have a second computer displaying the manual to save paper as you will need to turn the main computer off during installation.

Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterReceived this "low" priced product 2 days after I placed the order. Upon arrival I plugged the unit into the modem and powered it up. It took a few easy steps to make it work. I am using 3 laptops, and all 3 have no problem communicating with this device. It is not as powerful as some of the routers I have, however, for the price of $ 16.00 this is not bad. I am using this router when traveling , I would not use it as a primary wireless device though, not powerful enough, better use a n router.

I replaced a router at my girlfriend's house with this one. She went from getting signal from a room or two away (upstairs)to everywhere in the house!

Netgear WPN111 USB 2.0 Wireless AdapterI bought this device to work with my Netgear RangeMax Wireless Router. Both devices were "re-certified", hence the very low prices. "A good idea to match them", I thought. This WPN111 adapter failed after only about 3 days of use. The computer that I installed it into could not continue to connect to our home network. The Netgear Wireless Router(WPN824v3) "hasn't skipped a beat", as they say. I thought that one good buy of a name brand re-certified device warranted trusting another of the same brand. NOT. Being disappointed with this adapter, we bought a Belkin USB Wireless Adapter instead (new,full-price) and it performs perfectly. Please research more deeply than I did before you decide on your purchases.

Netgear WPN111 USB 2.0 Wireless AdapterI had to hire a network specialist to get this to work. It required a special update to Windows XP that I would never have found in a hundred years. Works fine after that $75 investment. I can't recommend this product, even though it is cheap.

Netgear WPN111 USB 2.0 Wireless AdapterI purchased 2 of these and when i got them in the mail i opened them and the first thing it said to do was to insert the installment CD, come to find one does not come with them, although quick and easy i had to download a driver and put on a memory device to get these to work on my wife's and my desktops, essentially the worst product i have purchased from this retailer!

I did connect with my neighbor's unsecured router and went to the internet that way. Got no FIX from Netgear or Embarq. Guess I'll have to get another computer since Embarq said they couldn't support ME.

Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterThis is a nice unit, but I had to have my computer savy friend come the house to configure it properly. It didn't work .. "out of the box". Not good for a neophyte like me. It also doesn't have the "max range" that I was expecting. My AT&T modem does just as well...or better....most of the time. Still, it seems to provide a signal, sometimes when the modem doesn't. It's an "OK" buy.

Netgear WPN111 USB 2.0 Wireless AdapterI purchased the WPN 111 with the direction of the Comp USA rep. I wanted a booster to increase the reception of WIFI in public areas. This was refurbished which I knew. I didn't know that you are completely on your own after purchase. Netgear support does not help with refurbished equipment!!! They offered nothing! Comp USA offered nothing!! Definitely makes the arguement for not buying online! I received nothing but the unit. No info, instruction, CD's. They should have put a sticker in the box that read "Sucker". Leason learned!!!!

Netgear WPN111 USB 2.0 Wireless AdapterFirst off you must download the software, but for less than $10 what do you want? Installed no problem (XP) and has really good range. My only fault is that I use it at the fringe of its ability to function and on occasion it will drop out due to weather conditions. No surprize there, but until it reconnects (which is not always possible) it will not pay any attention to attemps to "safely remove hardware" and if you try to shut down the computer it really makes a mess of things. So- bottom line - great hardware and price, but the software leaves something to be desired. For $10 I'm happy.

I recommend this product.It's a good deal for the price.
