Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterBought this router for my girlfriend. Fast and easy setup, she installed it by herself in 5 min. and doesn't know much about anything computer related. Range is awesome, full signal across the house. I've bought several refurb items here, and it's always been the same as buying brand new except at a way better price!

Experienced customer.
Comment:
Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterI've had one of these routers for more then 2 years... maybe 3. And it has been the BEST router I have seen out there. And unbeatable price. Now mine's been through a lot of moving and been tossed around in the house, 2 of the ports are not working, but the wireless works fine, and the 2 ports are busted because it was.. well... thrown around. Simple set up that will do everything for you. If you are concerned about your xbox connection or something. It will go through flawlessly, unlike my other routers. I get perfect connection, constantly. I have my computers and my mother and brothers' mac's on my connection and even with 5-6 computers and laptops, this out-preforms all other routers I've seen. When my 2 ports broke, I looked for another one to replace it... couldn't find it. Looked everywhere, all of them were so expensive. Hell most were about $50! But I ended up getting a linksys (dislike the brand myself) and it sucks so bad... drops my connection, wireless is slow. Great buy!

good price for a budget item

Netgear WPN111 USB 2.0 Wireless AdapterIn order to work with Win7 64-bit, you need to download the driver from Netgear. The one for Vista 64 works fine. The signal gets cut-off sometimes but the overall performance is acceptable.

Another Great Deal.
Comment:
Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterThe only thing that could have made this deal any better was having the drivers and other software on a CD in the box (you have to download the s/w from the 'net, but no biggie - the website is good). Set it up, plugged in, and Presto! our own wireless network at the house. So easy, even a . . . well, you know.

Hot to the touch!!!
Comment:
Netgear WPN111 USB 2.0 Wireless AdapterWell i am not picky about wifi adapters but this changes my perspective i plug this guy in and it takes a good 10 mins before i have to unplug and replug it back in then its fine but after a hour or two it drops the connection then its hot to the touch like i cant touch it at all brought a flat thermometer it read a good 110F so i tossed it out so much for ten dollars and don't need to start a house fire by any means.

Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterThis router was a great buy! It works great and looks cool as well. Sometimes it seems my network drops, but that only seems to happen when my cell phone goes off, which is kind of odd..

Best Wireless Router Yet
Comment:
Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterI was resetting my previous wireless at least once a day. This one--not once since I installed it about a month ago, and no more of the constant tinkering with settings. Range is better, too. And I love the flashing lights! (the site) don't list the version, but the one I got is version 3 and allows you to turn off the lights if you want.

Netgear WPN111 USB 2.0 Wireless AdapterSignal cuts out after 15 minutes no matter what I try. Shouldn't have to be this much hassle to keep a steady connection. I had an airlink usb network adapter that worked flawless in vista and xp that was pretty much plug in, and it worked. Only reason I ordered this is becaused it broke while i was moving my computer, which was my fault. Learned my lesson, don't go cheap. I'm getting another airlink.

Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterWow, this product performs great, and it was very easy to set up. I purchased two of them because I wanted to extend my wireless capabilities far out into the outside areas of my home ... they work fantastic! I still cannot believe they are going at these prices ...

Netgear WPN111 USB 2.0 Wireless AdapterI am using this adapter on a Compaq Presario 1830 running Kubuntu Linux. Couldn't find a native Linux driver for it. I installed ndiswrapper, then DL'd the Win-driver from the Netgear site (no driver CD included with order) and installed that thru wine/CrossOver. Once the .inf file installed, I selected it in ndiswrapper. After a restart, the adapter lit up and worked like a charm-no command-line config needed (of course, YMMV). My old wireless-G adapter was PCMCIA, and the USB version seems to have a much greater range. Maybe it has a more modern radio...Typical bandwidth 54+ Mb/sec. All in all, good value for the price.

Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterI purchased this product to start my first wireless network. This was a refurbished model so it didn't come with an instruction manual. All I had to do was go to Netgear website, find my model and download the instruction manual. It was easy to set up and I was up and running in no time.

Great Netgear router!
Comment:
Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterI bought this unit to replace a Dlink unit that died due to an incorrect power supply being connected to it. The netgear has alot of great features such as mac filtering on the wireless, generates log files that can be sent to email, and this decorative light on the side really makes the unit look cool. Very satisfied with it.

Not bad but not great
Comment:
Netgear WPN111 USB 2.0 Wireless AdapterI had a difficult time getting the adapter to work, I downloaded all the versions on Netgear's website. Installed and removed each over and over trying different combinations until I eventually settled on the 1.1 drivers and the Windows XP native wireless software, it was the first set that worked. I needed a way to connect a desktop whose ethernet port stopped working. I have been able to only get transfer speeds up to about 7 meg, not the full 56 that my 'g' router supports. My dsl speed is 1.5 so no biggy.

Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterI have purchased many of these routers and have never been disappointed. They are extremely easy to set up and they out perform even the more expensive models. I would recommend this router to anyone that wants a good distance for their wireless at a very reasonable price.
