Another Great Netgear Product
Comment:
Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterThe router works wonderfully and is also quite attractive at the same time. I like that I am able to turn the blue LED's off as this can become an annoyance when you are trying to sleep. The configuration interface is as easy as you can possibly get which is a high point. I have the router on my nightstand in one corner of the house and at any given time there could be as much as 6 wireless connections and 1 wired XBOX connection. The signal quality is excellent even in the furthest part of the house and my home is not small. I could speak about a few minor improvements though. When I replaced my old Netgear router I was unable to copy and past the Blocked Keyword list into the new router. I had to type each keyword in one at a time. I have noticed that the keyword list seems to stop accepting input after about 2 dozen words. Strange. Overall I am happy with Netgear, again.

Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterI use this in combination with another router to get service to my workshop. Saws, motors, phones, refrigerators- all of these caused poor service -but no more.

Great Buy
Comment:
Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterAnother great recertified product from this site. Unit arrived today, plugged it in, powered it up and Bang, was online, with no less than 85% signal strength throughout my 3 story house. Easy setup for wpa2 and it's working flawlessly with all my Ubuntu and Windows systems. The whole family is connected (6 computers) and it has not dropped connection yet. If you feel better buying new, then do so to get a pretty full color retail box...but don't be afraid to snap this deal up before they are gone.

Netgear WPN111 USB 2.0 Wireless AdapterI purchased this product a while ago to replace D-link wireless adapter to upgrade status connection and it works fine and great. it used to on (low status) connection and it slows to pop up on the screen. I'm very satified with this product and recommend to anyone who has similar problem.

Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterIf you've never set up a router before, it's kind of annoying buying a refurbished unit without the setup software. You'll get minimal help from the company due to warranty issues and the refurbished status of the hardware. Once you get through that, it's a breeze. The router itself is great, performance is reliable.

Comment:
Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterNo only was it an excellent deal, it was easy to install and the wizard was simple. I've had some trouble in the past securing my network but, the wizard made it simple and haven't had any problems with it's performance. I've recommended the WPN824NA router to all my friends that are looking to setup a wireless network.

Comment:
Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterBought this product to improve range and signal in our home. The product does just what it says. No CD or download for software on Netgears site. Not a problem because I planned on setting it up through the routers web based setup.

Great Unit
Comment:
Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterI have owned, setup,or used,Linksys,Belkin,D Link, and this NetGear. My first wireless was a Linksys ordered from the USA before you could buy them here,it was a wireless B with a PCI card, laptop PCMCIA card, and one or two usb base dongles for about $700.00 plus CDN ouch that's gotta hurt. This unit is fine to setup, and in over a year it has been running I have not needed to reset it.It just works the way it should.I may have done updates on fimware, but if I did it was not to repair a problem it would have been that I was working on the settings and did the update because I was in there. My unit was a refurb and I bought a second unit after as a spare. At this price don't think about it,I have Rogers and my down speed is 9861kbps,I just downloaded open office to my laptop on the WPN824NA in 2mins 28sec the file was 148MB.Because my speeds and coverage is fine all over my house, the router is downstairs and I'm on my laptop up stairs now, I will not be looking to upgrade to wireless N.

better than my old linksys
Comment:
Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax Routerold BEFW11S4 Linksys router was slow, and dropped the connections a lot. This baby while of course faster is more stable. have not lost my connection or had to redo all my settings. Setup was a bit confusing at first, but didn't take long to sort out the different wording of things. had to disable the WEP to get laptops online. Once all the laptops were connected turning on WEP for security didn't effect the laptops and connect instantly now.

Comment:
Netgear WPN111 USB 2.0 Wireless AdapterEasy to use once the wireless network is setup to acknowledge the device. If you are using WEP security make sure you add the MAC number to the Setup Access List, makes it easier to connect thru.

Great value and easy to use
Comment:
Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterI am a prime example of someone who is technically dysfunctional. I needed wireless to connect an upstairs computer to our main computer downstairs. After reading all the other reviews, I decided on this model (which was half the price of something similar at Office Max). First I went to Netgear's website and downloaded the instruction manual; then I printed the pages I needed. Specifically, the part explaining what to unplug, connect, and in which order. The instructions were very easy to follow. In a very short amount of time, it was up and running. I was quite reluctant to attempt a wireless network on my own, but this made the process very easy. Thank you for all the previous reviews, and thank you for saving me money.

Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterI live in the country and have antenea service (similar to cell phone tower) My service provider recomended I switch from my Lynksys to this Netgear when I complained of slow speeds. I really can't tell any difference. I haven't gone to other rooms yet although he told me the Netgear would work better between walls.

Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterI was a little sceptical before buying the refurbished one. But it went far ahead of my expectation in quality and performance. Only one thing you need to struggle is to search in internet about the installation guide. Search for WPN824v2 pdf file in google. And then voila. Perform the operation step wise as mentioned in the guide and then you are on. Don't think twice before buying this refurbished as you will be astonished to see its performance and look as par with the new one. Enjoy!!!

Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterThis netgear product was a sweet deal. Easy to configure for my cable modem internet connection. It has lots of features if you need security and other remote access options. And if you like to see a simple "blue light show", you can turn on the blue dome of lights.

Netgear WPN111 USB 2.0 Wireless AdapterThis adapter does the job it's suppose to do, but at times it gets way too hot and for some reason the signal may cut out. I have had to take it out a few times to let it cool in order to use it again. I guess as long as you don't have it in all day. It works just fine. Other than that it's great. Installation of drivers was a breeze.

Comment:
Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterBeing the networking nut I am I saw this and its blue glowing center is really what brought me in (just kidding). What really is nice about this is I have not EVER had a dropped signal in even the most farthest parts of my house and my router is in my basement which is largely constructed of steel. This routers setup is also very nice, not as nice as the linksys interface but it certainly gets the job done with a few nice features. All my wireless G devices have increased in speed by allot and even my iPod touch, PSP, and nintendo DS have benefited from this handy little router and for the price its great. Honestly if you have $25 buy this thing just to try (cheaper than a nice lunch)it can also be setup to work as a wireless repeater for a 1/4th of the price. Great overall!

Netgear WPN111 USB 2.0 Wireless AdapterI will mention first, this adapter did not come with software. Merely a minor inconvenience. After a few minutes searching for and downloading software from the product website, the adapter was running wonderfully. I AM able to reach the advertised speed of 108Mbps on my local network and have yet to have any slowdowns or outages. The unit itself does run a bit hot but it hasn't become a problem. An excellent buy.

Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterMy first wireless router was a WGR614 Netgear router. When I found a refurbed WPN for $20 I snatched it up and was very pleased with the performance. After a freak lightning strike took out my home network, I returned to refurbed WPN's and have not been disappointed. Easy to set up, easy to use and very reliable. Throw in the discounted price for the refurb and you can't beat it!!
