On the plus side there's no difference in the quality on the downside the new model is conking out after 5 months. I had another Netgear router which conked out at 18 months. I don't believe this brand lasts. The other thing is that there's 3 different HW versions that support different features. The V3 supports QoS the older ones don't. And so on. I wish Netgear would eliminate that dumb blue light and put on external antenna port.

Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterThis product is supposed to come with an install CD but came with a piece of paper that says to go online and download the software - there is nothing on the page for this product to download. When calling Netgear, you get someone who's grasp of English is horrid and tells you they do not support refurbished products unless you email them and wait. The manual states to not plug it in until you have the CD software in the drive first. Worst purchase I have made on here and I have made a LOT for me as well as many other people.

I get full signal from upstairs and its definitely a cheap buy. Doesn't look refurbished at all, although it is missing the CD it should come with its an easy download from their website, its a simple program to run and very easy install.______________________________ If you dont mind a used USB slot, or it poking out a little, this is well worth the money.

Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterI've never dealt with wireless before so I was a little worried when I found out that the refurbished units don't come with an installation disk. I went to the TrendNet site, searched for the model, found the setup instructions, and made it happen. The signal strength is great throughout my entire house (my house is three stories with the router in the basement), the speed is fast, and I've had zero problems going on two weeks. Great product at an incredible price! Get one while they last!

Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterHooked it up last week and, seriously, wow! Just connect it up, access internet, it takes you to the set-up site, a few clicks later and you're on. This outperforms the Rosewill I had before to the extent that I'm thinking the Rosewill must have been broken. Great speed, distance, and performance . . . couldn't be happier. I literally can't tell the difference between the wifi and the ethernet connection performance and that goes for anywhere in or around my house. I just hope it lasts!

Netgear 108Mbps RangeMax RouterI have had this router for over a year now and it has been fantastic. Coverage is great. Signal strength is always high. The router is on the first floor of my townhouse and I use my laptops upstairs and downstairs. No problems. I've got one laptop with a wireless G (108mbps) card in it, another with wireless N, and desktop with 108mbps wireless G, and it works great with all of them. I also have other computers and a printer connected via ethernet, and they all connect with no problems. I don't really feel the need for wireless N, even when my wife and I are both using the web at the same time.

Netgear WPN111 USB 2.0 Wireless AdapterThis adapter was a great value at 15$ a few months ago. The problem with this adapter is getting it to consistently work on a wireless network with WPA-TKIP security. WEP works fine and stays up but it is easily hacked and no one wants that. Once you get it to work on WPA security you will expect it to drop after 15 mintues or so. Then it will not connect back to it without pulling your hair out for 30 minutes of troubleshooting. the problem may be that the adapter is on a USB cable and not direct into the board, but then again, why would it work at all? I would not recommend this adapter if you want strong security on your network.

Netgear WPN111 USB 2.0 Wireless AdapterWow! It works through 2 exterior walls and 350 feet away, I'm sharing internet with a neighbor. We did have to fiddle with positioning and make sure it was as close to line-of site as possible, but we have a 28% connection. It is rock solid stable and fast. I'm using it with a Netgear Rangemax wireless router WPN824.(also recommend) Adapter does run a bit warm.

Netgear WPN111 USB 2.0 Wireless Adaptercam probably wasnt smart enough to download the xp64 drivers cause it works fine on my my system with xp64. and as far as connectivity, this device is on my computer in my room with three walls and 25 feet of space between it and my router and gets a better signal than the linksys adapter on my pc that is just ten feet away from my router with one wall in between. and picks up signals from several of my neighbors that the linksys cant. it is cheap, and works fantastically well. its a great buy!!

Netgear WPN111 USB 2.0 Wireless AdapterAs a refurb adapter, it's a great value. I bought it because it was cheap and I've had good experiences with Netgear products before. It's worked on every computer I've plugged it in. However, it doesn't pick up signals as well as say, built-in laptop wireless adapters. It can also get annoying because it constantly has a blue LED light that flashes on and off and on and off non-stop that was so aggravating that I had to cover it with tape. However, otherwise it seems like a good buy.

Easy to setup too: 1) Plug in the power and see if it turns on. 2) Take the ethernet cord from your pc and put it in the router. 3) Take the supplied ethernet and plug one end into port one (of the router) and the other into your pc 4) Power cycle your modem, and restart your computer 5) Go into a browser, and the setup tool should be there.

My shoe worked as well as this router. Sent back for a replacement, but received another adapter rather than the router. I admit having very good service and products from Tigerdirect in the past, but this experience has been frustrating at the least.
