Easy to install. Great for enthusiasts as well as normal folks. Decent heatsink, works flawless with AM3 motherboards and Windows 7. Optimizes itself with all other hardware. Unlockable CPU core - can go upto 4.2ghz. |

Great CPU for the price
Comment:
Just used this CPU in my new build, it is the 125W version not the 140W I was happy about that. Running at 4Ghz with a Corsair H50 Cooler at 1.4875v so very happy, can get it to run at 4.2 but not completely stable. Very nice CPU! |

Best value for the money $200

I got this CPU few days ago, it's a upgrade from AthlonII x4 620. Under standard clocks does job done quick and without notch, temp: C33-C38 Easy to overclock, to go up to 4Ghz you'll need NB790 mobo, NB770-785 not that stable for extreem volts |

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 3.4GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:none
Pros:Black Edition -> fully overcloakable Comment:
Very fast CPU, 125W (first version was 140W), noes not go over 30C with normal use. Using Windows 7 64 bits, Cpu normally is not used mora than 2-10% capacity. I upgraded straight from AMD XP 2800 to this... what a huge step!!! |

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 3.4GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:None
Pros:Overclocking, price/performance. Comment:
Great CPU, highly recommend. Awesome overclocker, able to get to 3.8-4 Ghz easy with stock cooler. Also went for the 125W, should be less taxing on the psu. Great CPU AMD! |

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 3.4GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:-None
Pros:-Speed, it is clocked at 3.4GHz-Stock CPU cooler does a good job-Stable Comment:
I opted for the 125W version instead of the 140W version. It is a great CPU but my other desktop is running a Core i7 and I wish I had just bought a second one of those but I am a AMD/ATi fan.Overall, great. |
Chip itself is a wonderful chip. Just built an AMD Dragon Platform using this chip. Chip was on back order when I placed my order so I had to wait a couple weeks. I was well aware of that when I placed my order though. IMO which everyone knows how that goes I would say order OEM version and get aftermarket cooling system. I'm going to get Corsair H50 myself. Reason I say this, with stock HS and fan was idling 48C in a HAF 932 AMD Edition case 60C under load in occt. That's a little warm for me and definitely leaving no room for overclock without improved cooling. This is my first venture with overclocking to and I'm beginning to realize that most peeps that build a rig like I just did would have got OEM with aftermarket cooling anyhow. So the 4 in performance is for the stock heat sink and fan more than the chip itself.
