I thought about upgrading my system to a new FX-4100 ( GIGABYTE 990XA-UD3 MOBO ) but this seemed like a better choice seeing the latest release from AMD seems to be somewhat of a disappointment so far.

- Half the price to the intel equivalent- I OC'd it to 3.8Ghz - Works awesome with asus MB software, it auto clocked it with no prob - Windows 7 64bit doesnt appear to like it run more than three.8GHz With a SSD, awesome video card, and 8Gb of ram my computer runs like a champ. No want to upgrade for at least two-four years.

J'ai opté pour ce processeur pour mon nouvel ordinateur, car je ne voulais pas payer cher. Je suis très satisfait de la performance que j'obtiens pour mon ordinateur. Par contre, je dois avouer que je trouve que le fan qui est fourni avec ce processeur est de qualité douteuse. En fait, il est très bruyant et je vais probablement le changer pour un qui est moins bruyant.

Runs incredibly cool ྾c idle, 45c load), incredibly powerful. I haven't met anything that taxes it other than your standard audio and video editing programs. None whatsoever. Switched from an e8400-based laptop or computer.

Quite great CPU. Increased my 3DMark06 from 14355 to 17433. Was running a Phenom 2 720 Ɠ core). Loudest fan I have ever has on an AMD CPU. Guess I will upgrade to a greater fan. Sounds like a 747 taking off when below load, but temp by no means exceeds 55C.

Good cost. No issues with install on Asus M4A87TD/USB3 with Corsair XMS3 memory running Win7 Ultimate 64. Put every thing together, fired it up changed a couple BIOS settings and smooth install of OS. Not a con, CPU fan appears smaller but I guess it fills AMD's specs for cooling. Very first AMD processor develop. Won't be overclocking. No require to.

Uncomplicated to OC! Not a 3.5GHz (- Eggs) Black Edition = AmazingCombined with an HD 6850, I can play Crysis. What more can you ask for

This factor is crazy rapidly. My previous CPU was an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200 ʂ.6ghz so this is a substantial upgrade and I can certain really feel the distinction. Windows Experience Index processing went from five.5 with windows 7 32bit to 7.4 with windows 7 64bit with no overclocking. None. If you are a gamer on a budget like me, this is a positive-fire CPU that will be excellent for quite a few years.

bought for a moderate pc just couldn't justify paying the extra for 6 core. haven't had a single issue. runs just fine with stock heatsink i even slowed my fans down to reduce noise and the temp stayed constant. plenty of power for about anything i wanna throw at it.

Zoom zoom. Amazing. Runs COD Black Ops like a pro. I am so glad I got this cpu and didnt waste hundreds added to get a "sandy bridge" like all the fanboys suggested. Cpu fan is quiet. Very fast chip with a decent 8mb cache. No problems with it yet so I'm happy. Got it for 140 with was a great deal at the time. Currently running this chip with 4 gb of DDR3 and a 560Ti from gigabit and runs any game out there with max graphics. BF3 and the new oblivion will be the true test. Will update  when it comes out. Currently very satisfied. No need for a 6 core just yet in my opinion for xtreme gaming.

I bought this to go in a world of warcraft machine. Love it. Extremely quickly. And the fan is quiet. None There is no actual need to over clock. It does fine on its own.

Good cost!Overclocking is excellent, why pay far more for an i7 when i can overclock the *%$# out of this! None Bought this since I was on a budget and I wanted some thing that I could overclock to my requirements. I am really happy. Develop went by means of with out a flaw. Thanks Newegg!

I bought this chip and left it running at the stock clock speeds and with the stock heatsink. it runs fantastic. idles at a frosty 32ºC and under 100% load for 23 minutes i saw it at a maximum of 45ºC. the heatsink is quiet and efficient for the processor when you leave it alone. It delivers tons of performance for the price. None I bought this chip when it was AMDs king pin processor and I really like it. i paid alot a lot more for it and i nonetheless believe it was a bargain I have it in a Antec 900 two case which could be why i get such low temps. im not complaining though. for this cost you cant beat it.

Some people say to buy a heatsink to cool it down, I bought a A50 Corsair HS but couldnt install it in my case because there's a fan right in front of the CPU. At 3.8ghz OCd, playing WoW at full Gfx, it runs a 44*CBuy it! Enjoy it!

I have this puppy water-cooled, purring ʄ.2Ghz!!! Just tearing by means of prime95 at 48 Celsius max load. I mean, what additional do you want. Running any game at MAX, MAX, MAX!!!! I would recommend this to any budget gamers. I would also recommend an aftermarket fan as the stock isn't very good unless you don't plan to overclock it.
