Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders
Cons:-some minor compatibily issues-lack of 64 bit drivers for some hardware-lack of native 64 bit programs (msn messenger, wmp, pretty much everything)-CSS crashes half the time, but thats probly valves problem

Pros:-Stable-64 bit
Comment:
Wanted an OS to take advantage of my newer hardware and migrate to 64 bit.Bought Pro for the extra features over home premium, just in case I ever need them.4 stars due to the lack of native 64 bit programs and drivers out there, I know not really MS fault, but it does affect what the OS can run vs XP.

won't install on Asus M3N72-D motherboard
Comment:
A total waste of money. Win 7 won't install on an Asus M3N72-D motherboard (bought 3 months ago as part of a barebones kit from Tiger) with 4GB of OCZ DDR2 800Mhz, even after flashing the BIOS for the latest update, wiping the disk and following every trick on the Asus forum boards regarding BIOS settings (even those who were able to install have stability problems). I strongly suggest you research install problems with your particular specs BEFORE you attempt to load Win 7. After wasting 3 days and seeing countless blue screens, I'm back with XP Pro. In my book, Microsoft has yet another lemon.

Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders
Cons:Not everything is recognized from XP

Pros:Great interfaceWorks wellEasy to use
Comment:
Installed this OS on my netbook, runs like a champ. Very good looking OS, easy to use, easy to understand and learn. Went from XP to 7 without going to Vista, so the learning curb was small. For some weird unknown reason Diablo 2 doesn't feel like running in Win 7 ... made me sad, but probably didn't affect my school work as much, so it's a good thing...right?

Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit Best...
Comment:
I have been using Windows XP forever, never try Vista and picked up Windows 7 Pro 64 bit for a new build since Win7 was getting such good reviews. I use Beta windows 7 and liked. Only problem I have is sometimes I have No connection or limited. But resolve uninstall driver and search and internet again. Shipping was fast, only 3 days to Puerto Rico. THX Tiger.

Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders
Cons:Doesn't recognize all hardware

Pros:Easy install, fast, likes my SSDs
Comment:
I was waiting for this for a long time. I have been on XP since the beta days and I was a beta tester for Win7 as well. Installation took 17 minutes on my Vertex SSD. Except for a very old webcam and my ATI 550 TV tuner, everything was recognized. Intel has dropped support for PCI nics so I had to buy a new PCI express nic to replace it. So far this thing is super stable and I love it!

Worst Mistake Ever
Comment:
I had vista 64, and thought it was running just fine on my built computer, but I thought if my machine runs this fast on vista, 7 should be blazing. Most of the os works fine, but everything having to do with the internet, is horrible. I have called 4 times for support from microsoft, and they dont know sht. I am done with microsoft.

Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders
Cons:none so far

Pros:Easy to install, no issues during boot, very quick
Comment:
I jumped from XP Pro 32bit to Windows 7 Pro 64bit, built the computer myself and installed the operating system without any issues. The look of Win 7 is much better then XP, lots of new features that make working with multiple files and programs a breeze. I would recomend this operating sytem to anyone. I have had no issues with any of my graphics and mapping software, even the 32 bit stuff installs and runs perfectly.

Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders
Cons:-Few issues with some drivers, however mostly minor.

Pros:-Improvements from the RC:- Greater driver support and OS stability.Pure awesome windows 7 windows arranging features !
Comment:
Great design and Microsoft don't always go together, but they do in Windows 7. Some users might take a while to get used to the new taskbar and Aero Peek, but they're a pleasure to use. Much better alternative/upgrade to Vista.

I'm digging it
Comment:
Well, I've been using XP forever and picked up Windows 7 for a new build since 7 was getting such good reviews. I've been running 7 for a while and so far I have not had any blue screens or any issues. Installation didn't take long and it worked with my system right out of the box. (Still installed drivers anyway) The interface is intuitive, easier to use and much smoother than my Vista laptop. I also haven't had any issues with gaming under 7, but that will take some time. Looks like I'll finally be retiring XP.

Comment:
I had the beta on another computer it Crashed over and over again.. So I thought They must have fixed this But by Now So I purchased Win7 Pro.But Now on a totaly diferent computer it crashes. Get Hardware failure message on Blue screen. this is rediculas. Win Vista and XP run perfectly on this computer..if any one knows how to fix this it would be great. If it wasnt for this it runs better than any other Os I have ever used. When it stays running its fantastic.

The Best Since Win 2K
Comment:
Finally Microsoft did it. After moving to XP from 2K(which was bullet-proof), I was forced after the purchase of my last laptop to go to Vista and hated it. I had tested Win 7 out and was pretty happy with it so ordered the OEM Pro 64-bit version and after a full install 15-20 minutes and going to HP for new drivers, I have to admit that I am very impressed and have put it through the paces. If I were still running my own business I would feel very comfortable installing Win 7 on customers machines and standing behind it. There are a few things to get used to but plenty of resources online if you find any features that you are unfamiliar with as they have changed a few things but it is very easy to set up the way you like. And as usual, TigerDirect came through knowing their products, offering assistance and recommendations as well as letting me know the day it would arrive. Thanks again Tiger!!!

Amazing
Comment:
This is an amazing operating system. I have been using the RC for months and picked up my copy on the release date. It took about 20 minutes to install and be on the desktop putting all my software back on. EVERY device, driver, piece of hardware, etc was recognized and had the latest driver downloaded and installed, this even included the nVidia control panel for my graphics card. Never had a single issue with the operating system. Network management is simple and easy to navigate and setup. The HomeGroup makes it quick and simple to setup a local network with my other computers and quickly share files between the computers in a fast and simple manner. I have been able to install every piece of software I needed without any trouble, a few things did need to use compatibility mode but once that was setup they too worked 100% without error. Win 7 is very sleek and I even have it on my Acer Aspire One netbook running without a hitch.

The only way I can install the OS was to disable every integrated device, to later find out that the drivers that come with windows 7 are causing problems. Chek, upgrades the drivers, chek my hardware was full compatible with windows 7 and still I got blue screen when windows want to. Here Don t want to give me a refund or change the product. Do yourself a favor a don't buy this. Trust me I just throw away $150 dollars

Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders
Cons:Have to download XP mode.

Pros:Stable, driver support good. Has some interesting features. XP mode actually works.
Comment:
Seems to be a tweaked Vista64 to me. Other than Alcohol 120% needing to be updated, everything that ran on my Vista64 Ultimate worked flawlessly. Very Impressed how well XP mode works for older windows programs, especially ripping and copying software or 32bit programs that just dont run on a 64bit system... I love how the desktop background can essentially be a slide show. If you have a projector, desktop cloning is back. Multi-media streaming with multiple computers and devices, its just amazing! Its a geeks dream come true! Its not any faster or slower than my Vista64 Ultimate, uses about 200mb less... If you have a projector and a mean home theater, you can't go wrong with this operating system. In my opinion its Vista64 with alot better multimedia capabilities. For that reason alone its worth the cost. I'm not sure how this works, but Vista64 takes up 47gigs, whereas Win7 takes up 26gigs, same programs installed, drives cleaned etc....

There is so many new features I cant even imagine how they got them included and still keep Win 7 super fast. Take my word for it and buy WIn 7 you will not regret it...

Cons:Some capatabilty issues

Pros:FastGreat Eye candiesStableLow memory footprintLove the new productivity features
Comment:
I've had this OS for a few months since I discovered it on my school's MSDNAA. It was a huge step up from the RC for me, the memory footprint when down from 37-40% on boot to less than 30%. There are some amazing new productivity features included like stacks on the superbar (if you pin windows explorer, you can set your favourite folders like music, school documents, and etc). Aero snap is incredibly useful if you want to have a PDF running so you can read off of it and have Word open beside it, super speedy pinning!

7 Works great
Comment:
I've been using this since early 2009, I had vista 64 ultimate, bla bla and finally trashed it. Win 7 is quick, logical, and fun to use. The big test was when the motherboard died, I replaced it and connected the Win 7 hard drive, I had done this with XP several times over the years and had lots of problems. Win 7 launched, listed dozens of drivers, etc. and went to the web to get them. 20 minutes later TA DA! I'm still using it today.

Best windows yet
Comment:
This is one of the greatest OS I've used. Got the full Windows 7 Professional Edition for free from MSDNAA, I am reviewing the final product not the release candidate or beta. Windows 7 has improved my battery by more than 1 hour. With vista it usually took a while to turn on but with Windows 7 it's even faster than vista coming on through hibernation it evens turns off faster and restarts faster. Itunes used to be my main media player, now it's Windows Media Player mostly because of the taskbar integration and streaming. Gaming is also great with Windows 7, does not have problems playing old and new games. Haven't had any problems with programs and drivers. Also less annoying pop ups. I will recommend anyone that does not like vista to get Windows 7.
