pretty clean install, relatively fast on a clean drive blue screen still terrible immediately after all these years. turned out it was a motherboard dilemma, but error messages on blue screen leave a lot to be desired when it comes to describing the challenge completely. its reasonable to assume that if you can install the software as a lay individual, you need to also be in a position to troubleshoot it.

It's Windows 7. It's user-friendly, it does a lot of stuff for you that XP doesn't, it looks all nice and slick. I tried out linux about two months following installing it. Tremendous buyer's remorse - totally free computer software does every thing this rather pricey production does, with the exception of some gaming compatibility. In all probability the best version of Windows ever released. Just be sure going in that Windows is what you want. Newegg delivered expertly, no complaints there.

Legit copy of windows 7 expert As soon as you register this copy to your personal computer it can no longer be transferred to one more motherboard. I am stuck with my motherboard for a extended time... Upgrade your motherboard to a thing top rated of the line. By the time you will need to upgrade once more, the next operating program should be out.

Right after some initial stability troubles, the OS has been rock solid for me. Stability difficulties were hardware/BIOS related, specifically due to 3 pin CPU fan being plugged into 4 pin CPU fan MB connector. Disabled all power mgmt in the BIOS related to the functions carried out more than the 4th pin, stability concern went away. Pricey, even for a program builder Ƒ copy). Some older games/apps may need to have a bit of tweaking, but usually running them in XP compatibility mode fixes any issues. Installed this on a new rig I setup (AMD X4, 8GB RAM, Asus Evo board, Radeon 6850 HD), and had no install troubles. Computer is rock solid with this OS, been benchmarked and tension tested with no issues.

Works wonderful. Receiving use to 7 Professional. Crucial Code print too smaller. Every single time I entered the crucial it had an invalid entry. I took a chance and changed an 8 to a B. It worked. I had my wife read and she saw an 8, my daughter read it and she saw a B. Print too little.

The very best function of Windows 7 I can feel of is its stability. When programs crash, it is a whole lot less difficult to finish them in the job manager. Pretty much instantly. It also has Direct X 10 and 11 that games are slowly crawling towards working with while leaving Direct X 9 on Windows XP behind. The GUI and layout in Windows 7 is just silly. People on XP have been so utilized to the layout for practically eight years. I see that they are attempting to make Windows much less intimidating, but genuinely it is not required. Even going into classic view, it still feels very diverse. People on Windows want efficiency, not plushy nice GUIs you see on Macs and wise phones. Both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 7 use a whole lot more RAM than XP, so I would suggest at least 3 GB for the the 64-bit version if you plan on performing anything other than web-browsing. If you are fine with XP now, I really feel it can still last you a couple of far more years. It is clear though that ultimately XP will develop into an outdated operating technique, and you want to upgrade someday. Becoming a gamer I choose to have Windows 7 with my new PC for the eventual future of games employing Direct X 10 and 11.

Faster and smoother than XP. Does not have all the "stuff" that made Vista annoying. I would would suggest upgrading to any person who's laptop or computer meets the requirements. Install programs for older software could not be recognized by your cd rom or might not install appropriately. I have had incredibly little complications installing and acquiring my stuff working compared to older operating systems. I have been dealing with them since Windows 95. In all probability the smoothest transition yet.

My preferred desktop OS so far. (and I'm a linux/mac guy too)Clean, full featured, tons of productivity centered tweaks.NOT just vista with add-ons, this is Vista re-written. (and I didn't have enormous troubles with Vista) Not totally free, hobbyist clause removed from OEM license. I had to build a PC for work and sell them it with my side small business to legally use this OEM licence. boo. Seriously, if you have a PC and don't have Windows 7, obtain it.I installed it on a 7 year old PC running XP home and it in fact improved efficiency!

Have little concerns employing. Can shut off visual enhancements. Runs stable for the most part. Fell in enjoy with beta version of Ultimate. Initial OS I've had no concerns installing and operating. Had hardware that worked with the beta version, does not with retail version. Otherwise only problems that have come up is some programs that won't run on a 64-bit OS. (Duh) Keeping my older 32-bit PC for that. Any malfunctions have been due to some faulty hardware that it didn't like. And my own fault tinkering with the settings.

Pros:Love it, XP performance with Vista visuals. 64 bit is RELIABLE.
Comment:
Win 7 is awesome, going from XP to Vista was just awful. Sure the visuals were nice...but it didn't make up for the poor performance due to early development cancellation. The 64 bit version is a godsend compared to both XP and Vista versions, works like a charm.

Hey I adore Newegg. Terrific company to do business with. I've not only bought numerous thousand dollars worth of gear from them, but have referred Newegg to buddies of mine that were strangers to on the web ordering. We all have been quite happy. If I had identified that EGGSAVER was this slow I would have happily paid additional. If you purchase this by means of Newegg, pay the added for shipping. No much more cost-free shipping for this customer.I have a tough time understanding how a DVD shipping from a warehouse in Newark NJ on Tuesday March 28th, takes this longer than COB on Friday April 1st to ship to Arlington, VA. Pay for the three day shipping option. I normally do but had a brain fart and forgot. This was a really difficult assessment to write. I would be surprised if it's posted.

This is truly the Windows everybody was looking for. Stable, easy to use, non-aggressive on resources... Loaded with tons of drivers, GREAT help&Support service (Its not like the automated random garbage other systems provide for problems), awesome backing up system (Keeps images of most folders, saved my life at least twice)...Never has a windows lasted more than one year in my computers without having to perform an re-install.Final thoughts? Microsoft is BACK!

Basically, I like it. Just built a new program (last one was 10 years ago!!!) using AMD 6 cores. Attempt to install XP 32 bit, but failed. So tried Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, and every thing worked like charm!!! It definely got my five eggs!!! I am a linux guy. And thus I have to speak poor(not that poor) about Windows - forgive me if you are Windows fan. This 1 takes too significantly resource. Of course, if you are comparing to Vista, it's way superior, but XP does what Windows 7 does with less foot print. The only reason I went with Win 7 Pro is becasue of hardware support. It does what it suppose to do with out any headache.
