Great Product...fast shipping as always
Comment:
I have already installed this on a machine I built a while ago. No problems with activation or installation. I then wiped out the original installation because of a bug and it installed and activated again no problem. Thanks guys!

Good and fast
Comment:
Put it on a newer system, Core 2 Duo or better. It takes advantage of the latest microprocessors. Don't like all the Vista-style nag boxes but they can be disabled.

Love it

I finally switched from XP. I wanted an upgrade from XP, not just a replacement (Vista). Win7 includes everything I loved about XP (simplicity, ease of function) without the bloat of Vista.

Happy I switched!
Comment:
When we built this new computer I decided to take the plunge on Windows 7 Pro with built-in XP and I am very happy with it. The only hiccup was that I had to replace a faulty motherboard. When I rebooted after the repair Windows wanted to authenticate again and the product key would not work. It took me some phone calls to sort it out, so be careful if you are changing major pieces of your hardware, don't lose your original key or bill of purchase.

Microsoft did its homework
Comment:
Microsoft got it right this time! Used Windows since 3.0. Always had the problem of the OS working with the applications I had. Not this time. Windows 7 identified which applications had a compatibility problem and gives you the opportunity to turn on its compatibility mode applet.

Nice OS at a good price

I had a Win XP version before and i wanted to upgrade. I backup all my things and i change my OS to Win 7 64bits. It takes a good PC with performant parts (motherboard, cpu, memory ...) but it will give you another vision to a OS system.

Awesome
Comment:
Upgraded from xp home edition, and was very impressed. Only problem I have is that I don't think it came with the cool things like Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. I am really hoping I just overlooked it because it'd be a shame to buy a professional edition that didn't have professional tools. Other than that, its amazing. I love the sticky notes for the screen, and built in weather utility. Cool stuff.

I have built three computers for my work with Windows 7 Porfessional 64BIT and I like it. Not all old hardware will work like scanner so check for new drivers on all your old stuff you plan on keeping.

Best MS OS so far!
Comment:
I've been running Vista Ultimate and liked that OS. Wanted to keep up with newer OS's as I frequently work on various people's computers. I wanted to be familiar with any new bug that may occur along the way. Chose Pro version as Ultimate is just overkill for majority of people since it does'nt offer enough to warrant the extra cost! Very happy with this install and would highly recommend to everyone! Would recommend backing up your old files and do a CLEAN INSTALL for best results! Updating always seems to lead to underlying problems from the past?

Best Windows OS to date
Comment:
Bought this to replace Win7RC I've had running on the gaming PC I built last summer. Gotta say I really enjoy Win7, installed on my Core i7 rig in about 6 minutes from the CD. It recognized all my hardware and installed the drivers without issues. I've been running my PC ragged with games and bench-marking apps without any crashes or instability in the system. Windows 7 is a solid performer and I highly recommend it!!

Windows 7
Comment:
Since my old XP computer blew up and the VPN I use is based on XP, the virtual PC mode in Windows 7 was a lifesafer. I could upgrade my computer for home use and still work from home.

Great OS, Great Value
Comment:
I bought this OS to replace the Win 7 RC I had been running since building a new computer in June of 09. I have used Win 7 RC 64bit, Win 7 Home Premium 64, and Win 7 Pro 32, and they are all great OS's. The Win 7 Pro 32 is currently being used on my Media Center PC, and since it runs headless, Pro is the way to go because of Remote Desktop. Since the computer I bought this OS for could someday replace the aging Media Center(6 years old), Pro was an easy decision.

Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders
Cons:When moving between applications when you click on a different application, if you have more than one window open in that application you have to choose. Makes for extra key strokes if you are going back to the same page repetedly

Pros:Stable and visually appealing, I like some of the features especially that grab and throw to make a split screen.
Comment:
I like it but after working with the RC version of ultimate I wish I would have spent the extra money. These little issues didnt occure in the ultimate version( at least not in the RC version anyway...) This review was modfied by poster @ 03-19-10 10:05 AM

Cons:Takes some getting used to on going from xp to windows 7.

Pros:What vista was supposed to be.

Aero is awesome when you have a decent system that you can afford the eye candy. Networking is real easy. The only issue is it did not pick up my wireless logitech mouse (mx revolution) so I had to grab another mouse to download the drivers.

Works as expected
Comment:
Disk was scratched and scuffed up, an area of about 3 inches by 1 inch, from spinning around in its case. Very Vista like, going from XP pro MEC is difficult visually, but overall I like all the features and its a solid OS software.
