Pros:2TBs! Not super expensive!
Comment:
Awesome drives. Nothing negative to say. Just bought my third. Even though they're "green," they still spin at 7500RPM. I don't know what makes them greener than any other 7500RPM 3.5" drives? But they're definitely not noticeably slow. (At least, for a media storage drive--OS? Couldn't tell you.)

Western Digital WD20EARS Caviar Green 2TB SATA 3 64MB Cache 3.5IN Hard Drive OEM
Cons:-Constant Head Parking-Advance Formatting-5400rpm

Pros:-2 TB of storage-64 MB of cache-Western Digital
Comment:
Its a green drive and not meant for performance but when your competitors are offering 5900rpm and SATA3, you should do the same. This drive was a drag to setup, had to disable the 8secs head parking and then use the WD align software to make it work right. It is a WD however and should be reliable which is the most important.

Pros:2TB- good for storageLess power consumption
Comment:
I have mine for a 1 year and it is still working. However, i have the an XP OS... so it was annoying to use Advanced Format technology. The price for this hard drive is cheap and it works really well for storage but for others... may not as good.

It's slower than caviar black but for storage, it's perfect because you don't need fast red and write speeds for that.

Western Digital WD20EARS Caviar Green 2TB SATA 3 64MB Cache 3.5IN Hard Drive OEM
Cons:performance

Pros:Size, price
Comment:
This is a big jump from a black edition drive as far as performance goes. I use it in my HTPC and it is quiet and dependable.I purchased a Bluray burner a few months prior before realizing that there is limited software to move BR from dual layer to single layer. Backing up BR is quite expensive as bluk disks are almost as much as a discounted film. I decided to ISO my BR disks until the price comes down on the dual layer BR disks. This drive was the answer.Another reviewer said that this drive wasn't good for an OS. I'm not sure why, I've been running Win 7 on it without issue. It is definately not a high performance drive, but I haven't had any complaints about it other than that.

Cons:Speed, but you should know that

Pros:Capacity, obviouslyPrice
Comment:
Obviously you don't want to buy this drive for anything besides storage as it is a green drive. It is pretty slow and will load your OS slowly if you put it on it. It's not outrageously slow though, perfectly adequate for many things. It can be found for like $70 and maybe less. It's the best option for cheap storage, as far as I can tell.

Western Digital WD20EARS Caviar Green 2TB SATA 3 64MB Cache 3.5IN Hard Drive OEM
Cons:- May want to disable AP (4k)- No go for RAID5

Pros:- Cheap- Nice cache size
Comment:
This is a nice cheap drive when in special, the cache size is superior to its competitors which makes it slightly faster, but be careful, you might want to disable the Advanced Paritionning (4k sectors) and since you can't disable the TLER it's a no-go for RAID5 controllers that can't manage TLER drives.

Cons:Trying to Raid 0 with these Volumes, Found out you cant.(not the Drive fault)

Pros:Lots of space and its cheap ! yay
Comment:
** These will not Raid0 or Stripe0 together because windows 7 doesn't support an array bigger than 2 TB**WISH I KNEW THAT BEFORE I PURCHASED !It does say the C/greens can raid 0,1 (according to WD website)I have no experience with RAID setups, I wanted to start out with something huge, Only because they were CHEAP ! thinking I could get speed and volume. The fact no one needs that much space is illrelevant. :)Someone posted in a forum:'Yes, there is a limited partition size of 2TB on Master Boot Record disks. If you want to create  a partition larger than 2TB, you can convert the disk to GPT disk, which extends the limitation to a very large capacity'I tried this but seeings how windows wont support this to my knowledge It didn't work and i'm S.O.L (the idea was to replace my SSD because I ran out of space and wanted to keep decent speeds. raptor drives are too expensive. I have since then replaced my order with C/Blacks 1Tb's Sata6Gb and NCIX waved shipping. so im happy. but a pain in the butt in the mean time. They work but not for my purpose. RMA department said they have had alot of people callin about this. and yet no warning of any kind.. Im glad they know about it.. its US who need to know. 4 stars for the product 2 stars for NCIX for this Scenario..
