D-Link DIR-615 Wireless Router

Only ran into a small snag at the initial setup where it says it will access your old router to check settings. That didn't work but simply hooked up the new one and followed the instructions. I like now that my PS3 does not drop connection like it did with my previous G router.

I had to get on the ph with D-Link to re-configure... but they were very helpful,once it was re-configured, it worked just fine!!!

router works really well, speeds on wireless N at 300Mbs, those complaining that they can't reach 300 you need to setup the router as Wireless g and N only, once you put it on B the speed drops, you can only go as fast as the slowest connection, I have N abd G devices and My N devices show 300Mbs all the time. Update firmware to latest, best router for the price, negative feed back 90% user error, learn to configure properely and you wil have no problems.

So far so good, the DIR-615 wireless router was very easy to set-up. I had no problems at all getting up and running seems to work very well.

Returned the $169 Netgear wireless router since could not get connected right and stay that way. This unit went in so easy and works fantastic. Comcast modem has not had trouble communicating through this one. Just so much beter a unit at way less cost.

it's only been a couple of days but i'm pleased with this product. price was reasonable and set up was easy, even for me.

Bought this as my first Wireless Router. Setup was easy with the instructions and wizards provided. I delved into the management interface which is comprehensive but is definitely not for beginners. Even so was able to activate features to make the wireless network more secure. Power does not seem as strong as I expected but plenty for my house and I have not experienced any issues or slowness.

Tested out the N router, compared to speeds of a Linksys G router. There was no significant difference in the download speeds. N router got approximately 2.5MBs while G router got 2.0MBs. If you're going to spend money thinking you're getting faster technology, you might as well go with the G technology which is tried and true as opposed to DRAFT-N. Remember there's no form of N that's

I am using this router for home. This is a good router for the price...(as part of black friday deal) and for home use.

I am pleased with my purchase. There were no problems getting it to work. It has been running for a week and so far it is reliable. I was hoping for more of an increase in range with N technology. It seems a bit faster than my old G wireless router which was also D-Link, Extreme G

I purchased this router so I could hook both my computer and x box up to my ethernet and in the future my new LED TV. Ever since i hooked it up my computer internet connections have been much slower and my x box freezes up all the time. This never happened prior to me hooking it up to this router. I am not even using the wireless connection and it is this bad I can only imagine how bad it would be if i tried to go wirelessly.

Easy to set up. Took me maybe 30 minutes to set up and get port forwarding working. Nice web interface as well.

I had gone through 2 other routers with a slew of problems for my home network. This router has performed extremely well for both my desktop units as well as my laptop. I would highly recommend this router.

Set up disc does not function on my iMac Netmagic is not included as stated. D-Link Wizard is not available through Safari (Use Firefox) Set up manually is hell! Even D-Link couldn't do it.

I've been using this router for a long time and i must say its very good. The only problem i've have is that it drops me off randomly but i'm not sure if its my internet or the router. All in all a very good router. Its located in the basement and i'm able to use my laptop freely throughout the entire house.

I have the D-615 and use Vonage. I discovered no issues concerning VOIP at all. As a matter of fact, my voip connections and quality have improved since I switched to this router. The Router is reliable. The network contains 6 pc's and an assortment of other devices running through it with absolutely solid performance. A good router - Get One!

I Can't really say a whole lot because this is the first wireless product I have worked with. I can tell you the setup was fairly easy, though there was a step missing that may mislead a newby like myself. (The instructions never said to disconnect the router from the computer's ethernet input...you just have to know to do it). Another problem I had that was frustrating was having to reconnect my wireless signal about every two days on my workstation while my laptop connection was fine. Then, I totally lost a secured network (on both computers) and had to temporarily work unsecured until I had time to call support and get help. Support guy was very helpful, but also rather condesending. It is 3 days since calling support and the wireless connection is still working fine. I purchased a D-Link product because of their quality reputation. I think it is a good product. There maybe products with software better suited for network begginers like me.

The setup itself is easy and painless just take 5 mins to plug in and go. Too bad mine keeps dropping the connection whenever my microwave goes on (but then I have a huge microwave and it always did that to my old router) and connections get really sllooowwwwwwwww when I'm upstairs.

This DIR-615 router works well in general, but make sure you are not using VOIP (SIP) communications through it as it can then cause all kinds of issues. I had to downgrade the firmware from 3.11 to 3.01 in order to get SIP communications working from behind this router, now seems to work well, but I worry what other enhancements I might be missing out on and can never upgrade unless they correct this issue. I just wanted to make sure everyone is aware of this limitation.

This router is the second of D-Link routers I have used. The first one finally died. I find that D-Link is a great choice. The DIR-615 router I use now to connect our wireless equipment together is a fantastic unit for the dollars spent. Initially, I had minimal problems, but the D-Link support staff were very helpful, and the problems were fixed. If and when this opne dies, I will not hesitate to purchase another D-Link router because of D-Link's solid reputation of reliability and value for the hard earned dollars we procure.
