D-Link DIR-615 Wireless Router

I needed a wireless router to be able to use my laptop in any room of my house, and this one works like a charm. I have had virtually no issues whatsoever with internet going in and out like other wireless routers I have used in the past. Good price, easy installation, and great quality. It's a winner in my book.

The only thing missing in installation doc. is "PLUG IN ETHERNET CORD FOR INITIAL INSTALLATION" Just got a wireless laptop with a this router. If you've never had these features plugging in laptop ethernet may not make sense to you. Otherwise EASY inst. also auto synch. function for peripherals works great too!

Easy install and setup. Suits my needs. No complaints. Has been working trouble free for about 1.5 months.

I recommend this low cost router and is easy to use. One downside - no loopback. Loopback is needed for multiple gamers to play same game online from one LAN.THis router handles our LAN gaming better than any we've had so far.

This product was actually an upgrade from the g router with the single antenna. It was so easy to setup. I installed it with a new cable modem and did it all wirelessly. I never needed a CAT5 to set it up. I am now running over 5 PC's and 2 cellphones on it with out any issues.

As usual prompt shipping of this router to replace the D-link 802.11G model that died. Like my previous experience with netgear, syslink, and D-link, the configuration wizard didn't work right. Are bugs in the "wizards" part of the 802.11 standard? Manual configuration was simple and worked first time. As claimed, big improvement in signal strength and speed between opposite ends of the house compared to 802.11G router.

Nice router, wish I could get it to work with my HP Wi-Fi printer. Finally had to resort back to wired LAN to include Home Office computers and printers

My prevous router was, I think, a G. As time passed, I would more frequently have to re-boot my router to get Internet service. Now, my signal is consistently good in more parts of my large house. It was just time to upgrade. This was the best price for a basic while most updated most updated version.

Simple set up. Have used and set up many routers for many people. I always prefer d-link.

Got this in the other day, was on the net in minutes using the set up disk. lost wireless the 3rd day but with a 5 minute call to tech support wireless was back on. No other issues since. You wont find a better deal.

easy install, quick interface, I am happy with this product...but please be aware this is a 10/100 not a 10/100/1000 if you plan on straight wiring multi- computers

I Really Love this Router cause i can go wireless or hard wired either way this Router is the best and ive alway liked Dlink cause they do make some of the best Routers... so i would Recommand this Router to anyone who asked about it cause i love it

I Need A Wired/Wireless Router And This One Was Perfect For What I Needed. The Price Is Ridiculous Low For What You Get. May Have Lost Some Overall Speed With The Internet Using This Router.

I recently upgraded from an older model D-Link Router to this one to see if the additional range and speed would mean an increase in computing speed. Although the speed was the same, I did notice an increase in range and signal strength. Not bad for less than $40.

I decided to setup a wireless network and researched (the site) and found this D-Link DIR-615 and thought it looked like a good value for performance. I was wrong. Out of the box, following the installation instructions exactly, the router failed to work correctly. I worked with it for a couple hours myself, then called tech support at D-Link where I was informed that it was defective. Aquick run to the local store and returning with a competitors router and I was up and running in 15 minutes. That was what I expected from D-Link and they failed me. Ispent considerably more for my replacement router and that tells me that you do indeed get what you pay for. ow I just need to get with (the site) to see about a credit return. This is a solid router. Put in the installation cd, took about 5 - 10 minutes, now it runs great. A+ product.

I bought this mainly for my Nintendo Wii. The installation for the computers were easy and the Wii found it perfectly from 60 feet and 4 walls away. I would recommend this product.

I purchased the DIR-615 to replace a 4 year old linksys WRT54G (wireless G) unit that failed. The setup wizard cd included with the unit does not function on my Mac. There is a 30 pg PDF instruction manual that works for Mac and Linux users. Also to access the router control panel you must use a supported web browser and Mac's Safari will not do it. I did not read this until after I struggled at the log in screen with Safari, but it is noted in the PDF. I used Firefox as an alternative at it worked fine. I get two steady bars of 5 possible for signal strength to a PC with a linksys card in it. I get full signal to my Mac laptop using its internal airport system. This is a distance of 20' with a wall and bookshelf between. I had similar results with the old linksys router and I suspect the linksys card in the PC is the weak link in the network.

if you follow what the install CD say, it take 10 min and you good to go. i mainly use it in my house, ppl who complain about no real speed at 200 feets ... its a home router .. dont ask the impossible, @ 150 feets, i had 3.5mb dl and 400kb up for a 7.5mb cable conn... not bad.

A sweet router at a great price. WE have had routers from d link, linksys and others .they all have something not to like. this works, i like it just fine bottom line.

This unit replaced a "G" level router that failed, decided to go to "N" level because of the price and possible upgrading other units to "N" in the near future. Some difficulty installing, resolved that in about a 1/2 hour, still can't get the software app,"Network Magic" to work properly with the new unit. Will have to contact support.

I got this product so that my visiting siblings could have Internet access at my Mother's house next door (she doesn't own a computer). Easy set up was a breeze. Tested successfully right away, and now Mom has Internet!
