I've had this router for about 4 months. It is a piece of crap! I've spent 20 or more hours with tech support (6 hrs. last night). When I came home from work, NO CONNECTION!!!!!!!!!! JUNK. Never again.

probably shouldn't say this but who needs a manual? plugged it in, turned it on and it worked! I didn't have a wired connection to set it up. Worked perfect! For a simple home network I'm not sure why you need anything more!

This router works well to connect several computers to a network. The problem is that is kills all internet connections. Not only does it stop any wireless internet usage, but it also blocks the internet if you use a wire through the LAN port. I can wire the computer straight to my modem and get internet perfectly, but if I go through the router I lose it instantly. My laptop is always on the network, however it is never on the internet. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! D-link will not help you. Not because they don't wan't too, but because they do not know how to. They make an incompitent piece of equipement because they are incompitent themselves.

10 minutes and it was done. Replaced old Linksys that burnt out. Easy install, runs 4 laptops and 2 desktops along with xbox...no problems at all. Never rebooted, no hiccups, flawless. Cheap and reliable with variety of access points. Have yet to run N, but all other connections are G speed and fast.

This router was a great deal. I'm using it to upgrade from the 2wire all-in-one unit from bellsouth and add on to the matching dlink switch. Setup was easy, less than 10 mins, but i'm kinda nerdy so don't get mad if it takes longer. Now my G machines get the full 54mbps and a little more range. Those who get mad at the 192.168.0.1 web based setup just type in ''admin'' for the username then click ''ok'' like the instructions told you to and everything is much easier when done through an ethernet connection not the wireless.

I bought this router to go with Netflix box. I was up and running in 15 minutes. Had to shut down the computer first and after that it's bee running ever since. A great buy

spent more than 7 hrs on the phone with DLink techsupport since we could not get it up and running (brand new DIR615). It first worked for a day then it did not. DLink Support wanted to blame my ISP/model but I was able to connect hardwired to my ISP's modem with no trouble. We upgraded the DLink firmaware, power recyled the modem and router so many times & crash reset it with at least 8 different tech support personnel), set up static IP and DNS server IPs, still kaput. Tech Support recommended to return the router and replace it. I did, walked through another set of tech support for another 2 hrs, still nothing. The last tech support asked me to look for a replacementt and to look for one with an ''older'' hardware version since he said the latest one that I got (version C1) is very new in the market and is not as stable; he just received 3 complaints from other customers. The retail store (Tiger Direct) does not carry boxes with the more ''stable'' version.

This was an inexpensive pruchase just after boxing day.IT is wireless N but I do warn the speeds being used for G using wpa2 is TERRIBLE. I have upgraded the firmware with not speed increases. for some reason this router has a hard time providing wpa2 security, but switched to wep is just fine. The features for this is great; reserved leased lan ips, access restrictions, prot forwading, port triggering, and easy to install wizard. remote management is also great.DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU PLAN TO USE WPA2.

Everything works well since I got it. I got no firmware issue, no disconnections. I got a PS3 next to it and a PC on the floor above and no problems at all.

This D-Link router is probably the best consumer-solution for an entry-level wireless solution. It has strong wireless, an easy-to-use gui for security, and has WPA2 encryption. One particular feature I like is the ability to reserve a local IP address for a given MAC address, meaning that the port forwarding options do not have to be reconfigured if the DHCP-assigned address for a computer changes.

I purchased this router to replace a old D-link Di-524, This is a nice upgrade from the one I had. Would recommended this product for anyone who wants a cheap N router.

Alot of people say that this router isn't good. As a very hardore user of my network, i have tested this unit alot and let me tell you, it is a solid router! never have to reboot it, set it and forget it, plays flawlessly with my xbox, pc, and all wireless connections. I guess some of you are just getting bad ones. once you get a good one that isnt broke to begin with you will see what i mean, its an amazing deal!!! best router i've ever used. only downside is no dd-wrt, but hey, dd-wrt is just to expand the capability of a router and this one has all i need :)

This is a good Wi-Fi router. As others have said keep it away from other wireless devices, such as phones, etc. Don't bother with the installation CD, it gets bogged down as others have noted (though the manual is thorough). This is a great value and the latest firmware seems to have fixed many of the problems others experienced 2+ months ago. One quark I've noticed is when mixed wireless types (b,g,n)is chosen in the settings it frequently defaults to 802.11b (11Mbps), though all 3 laptops in our home are g (54Mbps). I set it to ''only g'' and it works fine. Otherwise, great range and no drops.

I bought this one last christmas and plan to upgrade my netgear router. But the wizzard installation have a hard time in setting up the router. This one sucks. I can't even get into 192.168.0.1. I google the problem and found out that it's not only me having this trouble. There is even one online store selling 42 refurbuished of this item. Don't buy this one. Get the better brand like Linksys or Netgear, I am not affiliated with these company, just a regular user who bought this piece of shit.

Bought this router to use as an access point only. I already have a router in my basement and didn't want to put the wireless router down there. Set up was not bad as other reviewers have had trouble. Only issue is when you download new firmware, you lose all your settings. That was my only issue, otherwise a great deal for wireless connectivity.

This is a great router. The config of this router is a little more complicated than some but not bad. i used the config cd to setup initially which worked the first time. Enable the Auto channel select feature to help with other wireless devices such as cordless phones, etc which may interfere with router. Mine works great. I can now connect my Wii to the internet which would not work before on my old ''G'' router. Both of my laptops connect at their max speeds. I would recommend this product.

I bought this wireless router, and for the last 4 days I have not been able to connect to the internet. I do so now, for I put back my old wired router from LinkSys. The installation CD is a joke I got to one point where it was to connect and reconfigure the router and all it did was go back to the begening of the Installation Wizard. And lets not talk about setting up for a PPPoE conection. Where the router decides what passwords to use after you have typed and confirmed the password to your account.OVER ALL STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT LINE.

I have had no problem with this router once I realized that I couldn't have the router anywhere near a cordless phone or my all-in-one printer. It seems the frequency of the cordless phone and the fax portion of my printer interfered with the wireless signal, which I suspect is what a lot of the reviewers are experiencing. Once I moved the router to a different location (at least 6 feet away), my problems were solved. Everything worked great from this point onward!!!!!

My last D-Link router has lasted me about 5 years, only time I ever had to reset it was when the modem went offline...this thing has to be reset anytime i am running torrents and another application, also my mouse now constantly clicks multiple times when I click on something...which makes gaming and nearly everything else impossible, I am still in my 30 days and since I can't seem to find any help online in regards to the clicking problem I think I am going to return it. D-Link rev a is an Epic fail, and they just lost the game.

Does not work - Router worked great until I secured the wireless connection. After setting the encryption, the router would constantly fill up my wireless PC and my wired PC event logs with messages indicating the link went down. The router would also loose its connection to the internet during these events. I set the wireless connection to send in the clear and the router worked fine. Tried multiple configurations and three different wireless adapter with the same symptom,''Unstable connections after encryption was set''. The first thing I did was to upgrade the routers firmware to latest edition and then updated the drivers on all network cards. I used netstumbler to scan for noise to find a clear channel. Dlink is sending/RMA'ing me another router. Another interesting fact is that Dlink requires a 100 dollar deposit on RMA's. That is over twice what I paid for this router. I had good luck with Dlink in the past and hopefully the replacement will work fi

Have had this router for about 1 month. Installed easily in just a few minutes. Has never dropped out even once. Gives good range. I typically use Linksys, however I have nothing but good to say about the value of this router, it is a great router at a great value.

DO NOT BUY THIS ROUTER, IT IS THE WORST I EVER OWNED. IT DROPS AL THE TIME, AND FOR SOME REASON I WAS ALL OVER THE PLACE SETTING IT UP.I HAD TO GO BACK TO MY LINKS G AND NOW IT WORKS FINE, AND MY STRENGTH BAR IS THE SAME. NO PROBLEMS - GREAT VALUE I installed this router a few days ago at a friends' house. I was a bit reluctant to order it, since it had mixed reviews and was so inexpensive. It was my first 802.11n (draft) router. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to configure this router using the wizard. I have installed a lot of routers and this seemed to be the easiest and quickest. The case is good looking with the requisite green blinking LED's. It is connected to a DSL adapter and we had no problem using it with a hard wired desktop, a 802.11g ThinkPad and a 802.11n IdeaPad. It is fast enough for the average user and so far has been very stable. It has better than average range with 802.11g and very impressive range with 802.11n. At the other end of the house over 50 feet away, we were getting 4 out of 5 bars on the IdeaPad My experience with this router has been very good. I suspect that some of the problems reported may have been due to earlier firmware releases

This router is a piece of junk. I have had two die on me and the guy I talked to at D-link said that they have had lots of problems with them. The RMA department is a devil to get through to and even when I left a message, I never received a phone call back. I've always heard good things about d-link, but I'll never buy another.
