D-Link DIR-615 Wireless Router

Replaced my Linksys, which was losing connectivity quite often. This router is working like a charm, and was fairly easy to setup. (Having said that, I do work in IT)

It wasnt a completely bad product but it does drop connection, I have 3 Pc's and 2 xbox360's running through it. It will drop connection everso often out of no where, i tried different settings and different IP setups, however I made the drops happen fewer then usual but it still drops. My house isnt large by any means but when i hav my Home built it will be bigger then this one and i will definitley get a linksys.

It was easy to setup and works great, when it works. It drops often the connection for no reason, even when the laptop is less than 3 ft. away! Headed for the scrap heap...

I have been really impressed with the D-Link DIR-615. It was easy to set up and worked right away. The signal coverage is great, and the WEP2 encryption was a big upgrade from my previous router.

Price was great and the router delivers what it promised. Works well with all my computers and notebooks.

It works great when it's actually working. It often drops the internet connection or signal and wont reconnect unless I reset it...even for a wireless printer sitting 10 feet away. I would not buy this one again.

my mac hates all routers but seems to work fine with this one.

Self install disc does not work! Went in under address and still could not install driver for router. every step of the way the prompts took you to the wrong settings you needed to get to. Had to call product support, two hour call, they walked me through the process over 20 times!!!! re-setting router and and re-booting!! It wouldn't recognize IP address. Finally got it working and all is fine now. Great product, Great preformance, Just install disc failure!!! they won't send new disc, and said sorry!!, Never had these problems with any Linksys systems!!(Wireless Routers) They were just basically plug and play from XP to 7 .

I agree with many of the other reviewers that this product works really great. It was no trouble to set up. Securing the network was easy as there were step-by-step instructions and using more than one computer does not affect performance. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for value and performance in a home or small office environment.

I'd stay away from this product. It keeps dropping both wired and wireless connections. Totally unreliable. I'm not the only one who has had this problem.. I consider myself very well versed in computer hardware and this is the first time I have such issues with a product. It's just a badly manufactured router.

Service is just the best. Order by 3PM and receive the next afternoon. Router is excellent. No problems whatever. And it is fast. Western Michigan

I had no problem setting the wireless router. The price was more than reasonable. The only question that occurred involved comcast's signal as weak. They blamed the router. I'm not sure yet who's at fault.

Our comcast wireless router stopped working with our Vista laptop. Comcast came to trouble shoot it three times and just blamed the problem on the laptop. So I bought my own router and it works great. It is fast and works with all our wiresless devices (xp desktop with wireless usb card, vista laptop and dLink wireless media server).

On initial setup, I could not get the wireless connected but after a 20 minute call to the Far East tech support the wireless was working and has performed efficiently since. Could have been totally my faught initially.

I'm no computer guru by any stretch so I can't give you any serious tech feedback like some of these other posters on here. I needed a wireless router to use my laptop and plug up a desktop, game system, and DVR. I picked this one after reading some reviews here and there. No problem setting it up. All in all, it took me about 15 minutes and I am no guru by any stretch. I use my laptop on the wireless and a desktop, game system, and dish dvr on the router. I get great range out of it, even outside on my deck next to the fire pit. I would deffinately reccomend this. It works great, and the price is great.

This is a notch or two rating below a LinkSys. Purchased the Linksys at Staples for business because of urgency in need. Purchased the D-link a few days later on line for home and went the cheaper route but wish I would have spent the extra money for performance. Had trouble getting the D-link set up, it has so many features & settings. But have connectivity problems still that are not an issue with the Linksys. I don't know if the Linksys has disconnected wirelessly at all even though working at a much greater distance. Working on the laptop from 2 feet away is even a problem with the Dlink.

Being new to the networking thing this router was great for me. Had no problems setting up and it works great from one end of the house to the other. For the price I don't think I could have made a better choice.

This router works much better than my G router. This signal is much stronger and it was very easy to install. I would strongly recommend this router to anyone looking for a high speed router.

Great deal for the home net worker that is just running for home aps. A little frustrating at first to get it to work with XP Pro but a call to customer service set everything in quick order, good value for the money!
