A nice adjust going from my old cpu to this beast, at 4ghz it runs steady and cool. Installation was uncomplicated. I touched the bottom and it nevertheless worked. Good 1 intel. None to speak of I'm not a computer system specialist, and this element was used through my first build. Enthusiasts, ignore what I have to say.

Simple set up, booted with no a hitch, runs cool, runs rapidly sufficient I haven't felt the need or wish to overclock yet. Windows index provides it 7.5 out of 7.9. This is a excellent item! It doesn't assistance triple channel. Not totally free. If you don't want to overclock get the locked model for ษ bucks more affordable. Either way this seems the best bang for the buck. i7 was unnecessary for me.

Pros:Great Price/PerformanceLow power requirements
Comment:
The definite mainstay of the Sandy Bridge line. It hits a great price point. I have used it stock and experienced no issues.I would like to see the price dropped as it is already a generation behind, but that is something that NCIX doesn't have much power over

Easy to overclock, stock speed is really quick. Stock heatsink/fan is rather loud and does a poor job of cooling. I upgraded from Q6600, my average FPS on Crysis went up by 20 and Just Bring about two went up by 15.I am operating an HD6950 with this processor, I can run anything on as high as achievable with couple of occasions having to turn AA down to x4 from x8.

Very good price tag/performance ratio, stable, decent integrated graphics Heatsink isn't excellent I have been impressed with the HD 3000 graphics capabilities. It's no GTX 590, but it handles older games and simple stuff just fine. For most, you can't go wrong with this chip. Do you want the K component? I'd say "yes," if you are going to stick with the integrated graphics. Reviews that have compared the 2000 to the 3000 suggest that the 3000 is superior enough to make it worth it.

Comment:
This CPU is blazing quick and I have been incredibly impressed. I constantly utilized AMD processors in the previous and considered it this time as properly. The 2500K was a tiny far more pricey but based on all the testimonials and articles I decided it was time to switch to Intel. It was the ideal selection. I can encode a 2 hour film working with Handbrake (H.264 encoder) in roughly 16 min. Functionality for gaming is smooth and flawless. I can effortlessly oc to four.3 Ghz without having any voltage boost, but reduced it to 4. Ghz proper now until I install a new HSF (see comments below). With correct cooling I feel I can get to four.5 Ghz or beyond. Get this CPU you will not be disappointed. None. Not a con for the CPU, but just be aware the stock HSF that comes with this is junk. I originally oc'd to four.3 Ghz but my temps were actually hitting 90C following only a handful of minutes on full load (prime95). I brought it down to four. Ghz and also lowered Vcore by .025V which has been operating smoothly. I'm nevertheless hitting 80C at complete load but it'll get me by till my new HSF arrives. Do oneself a favor and get the aftermarket HSF from the beginning. It'll conserve you having to pull out your board and set up it later (which you will inevitably do since the stock HSF is totally inadequate).
