Cons:None
Pros:Very simple to installCame with everything I needed (stock fan, pre-applied thermal paste) Comment:
I bought this processor to upgrade my i3-550 for my new gaming rig. I definitely noticed the speed difference and until I have had no technical issues.I plan on overclocking in the future once I purchase a better cooling system so the unlocked functionality is definitely a plus! |

It's rapid. I haven't been able to max it however, devoid of going out of my way. Simply OC'd to 4.two. Haven't found any. Glad I received the advice to save to 贄 and stick to the 2500k. It's a beast and can't see a need to have in my globe for a lot more than I'm acquiring with this CPU. |

Pros:Overclocks like a dream Comment:
I was able to overclock this beast to 4.8GHz right out of the box on a Sabertooth Z77, I now have it stable at 5GHz and all i am using is an H100 Corsair cooler :D |

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:- None so far
Pros:- Fast, easy to install- worked out of the box- Plays most games at recommended settings, and all at min settings Comment:
I am new to building and was pleasantly surprised to find that thermal paste was pre applied on the heat sink. Don't know if this is a thing they do now but I clearly remember my brother applying his own thermal paste waaaay back when.As I am not an intense gamer, the HD3000 integrated graphics does everything I need and plays the games I own just fine and without lag at relatively high settings(L4D2, Deus Ex: HR, Pay Day: The Heist) |

Comment:
Stupid simple to overclock. I just cranked the multiplier to 42 and touched *nothing* else. Unlike the old Core 2 chips it speedsteps back down to its lowest speed mainly because it's based on multiplier, not clock. At stock speed it was 25% more rapidly at Lightroom than my old Q6600 at three.15Ghz. Overclocked it beats it by 50%. Idle utilizes 50 less watts, load is 70 less. I truly don't have any wish to begin turning up the voltage and attempting for greater....It's that rapidly. It's remarkable how swift Windows loads...just like lightning as my programs pop open. Stock heatsink looks like it would cool a Northbridge. But I under no circumstances employed it and put on Corsair A50 as an alternative. I am going to purchase a different one and pair it with a cheap H61 board just for Rapid Sync video transcoding.Be certain to pair it with a SSD, the benefits will be incredible. |

Cons:it doesn't have a 7 in the name?

i7 gets the glory but this thing gets the job done. It performs constantly flawless, even without overclocking. Got a modest OC (4.3) temps are good with the stock cooler while gaming. |

OC to four.5 @ 1.32v, was capable to run at 4.7 @ 1.36v but i like my temps low.Maintaining it at four.6 ʁ.34v, idles at 28-30 C, all four cores 100% on prime95 for eight hours maxed at 65 C. 21 C ambient.Very Fast none 1st Intel cpu for me, really happy with it. Went from an AMD 64 6000+, huge difference. FPS in Rift max settings went from 12 fps to 50-60fps with my gtx 560 ti, but that is mainly because the gpu is now the bottleneck right here. In no way gets above 40% usage with any of my games. |

Pros:runs coollyvery good for the price Comment:
i purchased this processor for my new build about a month ago and i do not regret it one bit, it is a really good chip for the price it is at, runs at about 35 degrees on idle and 50 degrees on idle with stock cooler!although if you looking to buy it this week, you should go with a 3570k since it is on sale for the same price as the 2500k! the 2500k is still a very good processor |

rapidly stock fan isn't fantastic adequate for gaming. idol temp can be around 25 degrees. begin undertaking some gaming and it promptly jumps up to 80 degrees. haven't seen something larger than 81 degrees yet. most significant challenge now is i have to eliminate the MB from the chassis to install an upgraded fan, which is fundamentally a full chassis rebuild. |

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:Stock heat sink had a burr
Pros:Runs relatively coolEasy to OC Comment:
Purchased this for my new build, was able to overclock it to 4.2gHz on stock voltage on a Z77A-GD65. Runs quite cool with MX-2 and a Cooler Master 212 EvoOnly complain being that the stock heatsink had a burr at the bottom which nicked the chip a bit. |
This is my Third one so far because they have come out. I love these cpu's and they are quick, stable and extremely overclockable. I dont see myself swapping from this cpu for my builds anytime soon as AMD has nothing to present to even come close to these. Bulldozer could modify the game but only time will inform. if you come across a single let me know. Acquire it. You wont regret it
