- OC uncomplicated to four.five Ghz- Low energy consumption - Low temperatures- Excellent for gaming- This CPU is much better than six-Cores ( AMD )- Exceptional per-core overall performance- It can beat i7 1336 CPU's.- It wont limit your GPU.- Mmmh.. I just adore it ɥ Nop if you want to OC .. please dont use the stock cooler mainly because is a joke .

Handles Dragon Age two, Shogun two, and Left four Dead two in its sleep (That's a lot of twos). Even accidentally left Prime95 operating a torture test whilst playing Dragon Age 2 and only had an occasional framerate hiccup. I haven't even overclocked it yet. Blows away just about every other processor at this price point, and arguably the 2nd finest processor for gaming out there (Intel i7 2600K being a slight upgrade) The stock fan and heatsink are absolute garbage. I debated taking eggs off for this but individuals are purchasing this for the processor, not the heatsink/fan. The fan was extremely noisy (I consider a bearing was loose or something) and did a mediocre job of cooling the processor. I replaced the stock heatsink and the temperature below tension was 20 C cooler. If you plan on receiving this processor, just go ahead and add a heatsink to your cart now. I definitely would not overclock using the stock heatsink.

great dollar:performance ratio runs hot with stock cooler. 40C will attack cooling problem with a reinstall of stock HSF and replace thermal paste with some brand stuff. if that doesnt lower it to 35C i will purchase a new brand HSF.i generally use stock HSF because i dont OC, and nonetheless get 30-35C on most intel cpus....this seriously surprises me its running so hot.program boots to desktop in six seconds.i5 2500kBIOSTAR H67+OCZ 8gb DDR3PATRIOT INFERNO 60gbATI 6870 1GB650w CORSAIR EnthusiastINWIN Dragon Rider

Excellent Lord. This processor is RIDICULOUS for overclocking. Took it up to 4.5GHz utilizing practically nothing but the multiplier, didn't even have to touch the voltages. Using a Corsair A50 air cooler, idle is about 32C, ㅲC under load It wasn't totally free? The cost/performance right here in insane. I can't rave enough about this chip.

Quickly. Period. Converts videos in a fraction of the time that my E8500 DC at three.8MHz could. More rapidly than I am Hey...this factor OC's DIFFERENTLY than you are utilized to! Do your investigation Ahead of you buy this gem. Old school overclocking is at the FSB level...this CPU controls the FSB...you alter the stepping. three.three GHz is the bottom line, 3.7 is in Turbo mode....altering stepping is in the Turbo mode. Set mine to four.five GHz, saw it hitting 5.4 GHz while below tension tests!!!!!

assume it is rapid, but don't want to push it, with the fan/heatsink supplied obtaining difficulty receiving cpu temp beneath 50 with different levels of thermal paste. Runs also hot. bios on ASUS P8P67 PRO LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3. ATX Intel Motherboard when adjusting fan speed sensing will not adjust fan speed. WIth the issues of recall of Motherboard, and obtaining to pull apart and re-assemble, maybe this isn't worth the dollars spent.

It's rapid, and as a K series chip, the unlocked multiplier is wonderful. This is the Tock component of Intel's Tick-Tock release cycle...so it's truly just a beta (as seen in the initial release recall) of the "bridge" series chips. At four.2Ghz, on a Noctua NH-C14, this chip runs 10c cooler than my HTPC's Q9550ʃ.4ghz with the very same heatsink. Quad core with On The Fly overclocking is wonderful. My major troubles...ş - The ram - looses triple channel assistance, Dual channel DDR3 is just a faster version of LGA 755 memory. For video encoding and high finish gaming, this is not perfect.Š - Limited PCI-E bandwidth. Only 16 lanes...seriously? Fine if you're operating 1 GPU...If you're interested in SLI, wait for the next CPU release. I didn't choose this one for myself, it came to me from a friend who ended up needing funds, so I can't recommend it, I'll acquire Ivy Bridge when it hits the shelves.Bottom line, this is not an enthusiast chip. The fewer PCI-E lanes are full speed...so the 8xǞx is as quickly as older half-duplex 16xቬx, but it feels like a Ferrari with a v6. If you're hunting to game with a single video card at 1920x1200, this is for you. If you want SLI at 2560x1600, wait till Q3.I'm running this with twin gtx460's at 2560x1600, the framerates are only about ten% higher than my older q9550. Only distinction is the motherboard and the CPU, with practically a 1ghz CPU benefit from the new cpu. Just not impressed.Other program specsɌGb of G.Talent 1600Mhz DDR3 2gbx4 9-9-9-2410k RPM raptor main drive7200 RPM plan drives in Raid five

Quick tiny guy.Haven't noticed any slowdown with it. It is not the newest chip around, and AMD still delivers much better bargains for the $. I'd nonetheless go intel for gaming on the other hand. Games commonly use 4 cores max. AMD gives excellent offers on six core, and I wouldve gone with them if i made media, but im a gamer and I'm correct to my roots.

What a ridiculously awesome CPU! I effortlessly doubled (and in some cases far more than tripled) the overall performance of my old dual-core. I've got this sucker OC'ed to four.2GHz thanks to MSI's trusty OC Genie mobo button. I really like that the DSTs permit me to effortlessly use CoreTemp to monitor the temps across all cores. I stress-tested with Prime95 for over an hour with no errors following overclocking. Can't feel of a single fault. What's so good about this CPU is how cool it runs even when overclocking. I am making use of the Thermaltake FRIO mainly because I got it for a killer value in a combo bundle, but you could run something quieter and less effective (like the Gelid Tranquillo) and probably nonetheless OC as considerably as you want. Way to go Intel!

Out of the box with aftermarket water cooler, (corsair) overclocked to four.4Ghz stable. Going to try 4.fiveǚ.six Ghz soon. Comes with a stock fan, witch doesn't make substantially when this processor is made to overclock.. just paying for some thing that will not be utilized. It would be nice to see a CPU only unit. Other than I have no cons. There truly is no explanation to invest the additional dollars for the i7 sandy bridge, if your a gamer like me. The only real difference is the cost and the i7 has Hyper threading witch is not seriously needed and additional for ultra enthusiasts.
