COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:None

Pros:Great cooling for OcPricing (bought this at 19$..)
Comment:
This is a must for every computer. The stock heatsink is always small and offers bad cooling. You get this awesome heatsink for about 20$ wow that's a joke. With this cooler I now run my AMD 965 black edition quad at 3.9 ghz with a temperature of 54°C FULL load max stress with Prime95... If you plan on overclock this is a must.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:Pretty big

Pros:Keeps the Temps lowReally cheap price
Comment:
I'm very happy with this heatsink. Using it on a core i5 2500k OC'd to around 4.3ghz. At full load on all 4 cores temps only go up to 59*C as oppose to 98*C with the stock cooler at this clockrate. Idle temps dropped around 8*C to 28*C. I've got a dual fan configuration with both fans going around 1000rpm, they're scythe fans of some sort that I had lying around.

Purchased this back in August 2010 to replace my stock cooler since I wanted to do some overclocking. I was on a budget and this cooler seemed like the best deal for me. I've been using it since with Arctic Cooling MX-2 thermal paste, and have my i5-750 overclocked to 3.70 GHz stable, temperatures at around 35-40 degrees celsius. Overall a very good bang for you buck cooler

Cons:None

Pros:Keeps CPU nice and coolPriceDesign
Comment:
Bought this to replace the stock CPU cooler that came with my Phenom 965 as the stock fan was extremely loud. This product works very well and is a great deal for the price. Also it is well designed to allow for an extra 120mm fan to be added, and comes with the plastic brackets to mount the second fan.

Obviously everyone already knows this is one of the best heat sinks for it's price point. Have it in a push/pull configuration and it keeps me 2500k at awesome temperatures when overclocking. Absolutely love and standby this CPU cooler.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:Comes with one fan, not a dig deal.

Pros:Inexpensive and quiet, solid metal.
Comment:
Bought this to replace the awful stock cooler cooler for a AMD 940 (the cooler that sounds like a jet is in your case). I was pretty impressed with it. The metal was nice and solid, it felt much better built than my similar looking Noctua cooler I was using in my machine at the time. Mounted pretty easily, and comes with brackets to mount another fan for push/pull.For $29.99 it's a good stock fan replacement.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:A little bulky, tricky to install.

Pros:Very Good Cooling, Looks good.
Comment:
This cooler dropped the temps on my AMD 1090t by about 10-15°C I had to remove my case's side fan to make it fit. The installation was a little frustrating, but after a few tries it went in without a hitch. This is one of the best coolers I have ever bought, highly recommended. The option of using two 120mm fans is awesome, it even comes with all the hardware to mount the second fan with vibration pads!

Cons:Needed to buy an extra fan.

Pros:CPU is now running quite cool.
Comment:
So far, everything has been good with this cooler. Keeps my temperatures low, but I would strongly recommend buying another fan for a push/pull setup. For the price, it's a good deal.

Cons:Can be a pain to installInstructions are a bit vague

Pros:Cheap and effectiveCools wellComes with a spare fan mount for a second fan
Comment:
It's cheap and it works. Works quite well really. Especially if you have a spare 120mm fan around to snap on to it. Can be a bit of pain to install, at least in the AM3 configuration I was doing. You'll need a thin screwdriver. The instructions are kind of par with Ikea though.

Ran this on an Athlon x4 640. Runs very cool with a 2nd fan attached. Recommend this, especially if you have another 120mm fan laying around.

Cons:None

Pros:Very quiet Good cooling capability
Comment:
For an air-cooled heatsink, this one has a great price to performance ratio. It's pretty big but fits into my Coolermaster Haf 912 case without any issues. Very quiet as my 200mm fan is louder. Good cooling ability and would definitely buy again in the future.

Pros:What can I say that hasn't already been said. Good build quality, good price, and good performance.
Comment:
I've never used boxed heatsinks that come with the cpu's I buy, but the aftermarket heatshinks I buy lean towards the low priced high value variety. I have the Scyth Katana 2, the Silenx EFZ-80HA2 & and this Coolermaster. The Hyper 212+ performs the best.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:difficult mounting

Pros:best bang for buckgood cooling performance
Comment:
mobo: asrock 880g proCPU: x4 940 beMounting the cooler so that it faces your rear exhaust is the most ideal way to mount the 212+ for 100% surface area contact. But my case has a nice 140mm fan right about the CPU for extra cooling, obviously it makes more sense to horizontally mount the cooler ya? when trying to crew down the cross bar, the cooler doesn't want to be perfectly mounted on top of the cpu. In order to get 100% surface area contact, I would have to have the cross bar pins unevenly mounted so that 2 of the arms are at their 'largest setting and the other 2 at the medium setting. This places varying degree of pressure on the mobo which is bad and places varrying degree of pressure on the CPU which is also bad. A pain in the butt! I ended up just saying w/e and let the cooler hand 2mm over the edge of the CPU so that 90% of the base plate is in contact with the cpu at even pressure.

This is a great value cpu cooler, works great and is only 30 dollars. However beware, it is huge! and at 100% the fan is very loud; try speedfan to manage the sound or get a new fan.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:Pain to install, but that wasn't the cooler's fault

Pros:CheapDecent cooling
Comment:
I bought this to replace a dead/dying heatsink in my brother's computer. Little did we realize though that his out of date case didn't include a cutout to access the back of the motherboard... That meant removing everything to get the backplate for this cooler in place. Again, not the cooler's fault, but do take care to note that it has a backplate, and you need to access to the back of your motherboard to get it installed.Other than that, great purchase!

I overclocked my i5 750 with the stock heatsink to 3.6 and after a few minutes on p95 - my temps would be between 60-70. Now with this heatsink, it takes quite a long time for them to even hit 40. Does it's job very well.

My go-to choice for almost all of my builds. Outperforms everything else in the 20-30$ range, anything more expensive is a waste. Also if you really need the best cooling throwing a second fan onto the unit helps as well.

This heatsink helped save my lga 775 processor that was hitting 70C and now idles around 42C. Hopefully this will be just as useful for my new 2500k when I try and overclock it to 4.5Ghz! I recommend this heatsink due to its high comparability, low cost and effect colling design.
