Had a lot of great critiques. Fan that came with this cooler shorted, and ruined a new board. 200$ board ruined by a poor soldering job on a ten$ fan. Sigh. COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:This cooler is really only limited by the fact it must use air at ambient temps to cool the CPU.

Pros:Direct contact pipes, adequate stock fan and thermal grease, room for optional 2nd fan, easy fan mounting with noise dampeners, performance far above its price point, low cost, and fairly flat bottom.
Comment:
This cooler keeps my 2500k at stock voltage/freq in the low 20sC idle to low 50s under max load, and OC'd to 4.5GHz from 25-32 idle to 54-61 max load. I added a Scythe 2100 RPM fan to push and set the stock fan on pull and my temps dropped about 5C with OC.The stock fan and thermal grease are both adequate, but not superior, so you can use them and get fine results or use the money you saved by buying this cooler to upgrade. In my opinion there isn't a good reason to buy a more expensive air cooler because if you have two fans in push/pull on the Hyper 212+ the improvement from high-end coolers is relatively small. If you want to OC with more heat than this cooler can handle, you may as well use water.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:A little bit annoying to install, but then most of them are..

Pros:Price is great, quality is good. Sooo much better than a stock cooler!

I've got an MSI Board, MSI Z68A-GD80 Revision G3.. I'm running an intel i7 2600k CPU. On stock cooler, at 3.4ghz I was idling ~30C degrees and load temps of ~68-70 degrees. After switching to the Hyper 212+, my idle temps were still around 30 degrees, but load temps maxed out in the mid to high 40s. Maybe say 47C or so, after an hour of BF3.Overclocking: Using the MSI OC Genie, the board has OC'd my chip to 4.2Ghz. Voltage is 1.36 now, I believe. Idle temps are about 34C, and load temps get up to around 65-67 at their very highest.this is at 800Mhz faster than factory default tho, so that's not bad.In short, prior to CM 212+, x3.4 Ghz I was seeing temps of 32 C (idle) to ~70 (load). After CM212 +, x4.2 Ghz I'm at ~34 C idle, and ~67 C after an hour of BF3.MSI board owners: BIOS lets the CPU fan run 100% all the time, regardless of CPU, meaning your system might be constantly noisy. I noticed this right away. Enamble the Smart CPU Fan option in BIOS under hardware monitor. Basically, you can tell the fan to operate at say 37.5% RPM, until the chip hits a temp of your choosing (I chose 50 degrees) at chich point it will spin up to the 100%.

All I can say is WOW! You can genuinely tell that the folks at Cooler Master put a good deal of believed into the style of this CPU cooler. Everything worked out wonderful, the set up went without having a single issue, and it's cooling my Intel i7 (socket LGA 1155) quite well. I wish I could give it 6 eggs! I love the truth that it makes use of metal bolts, nuts, and screws to attach to the motherboard, rather of the usually flimsy plastic push-pin items that get stuck and break. I will in no way use a plastic push-pin mounting program once more! The Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus is super flexible, supporting lots of unique sockets with out sacrificing stability. You can also turn the fan about if needed due to the fact the fan just clips on to the fins in either direction, and it makes use of just a common 120mm fan, so it can be replaced later if necessary. It comes with enough parts to mount a second fan to the heat sink as well. It was such a pleasure installing this cooler - the designers thought of every thing! Just to be conscious of, this cooler is fairly significant, so measure your case very first to be sure it fits. My case is the Corsair Obsidian Series 650D, and the Hyper 212 Plus fits just fine. Also, I had to mount the fan on the opposite side and in the reverse path (it now pulls air into the heat fins, rather than pushing air into them) simply because my RAM is a tiny too close to the CPU (I have an ASUS P8P67), but it nevertheless cools the CPU quite nicely. Also be aware that unless your case's motherboard mounting plate has a CPU cutout (mine does), you will have to eliminate the motherboard to set up this CPU cooler, as you want to attach a bracket to the rear of the motherboard. I should have fussed with the stock CPU cooler from Intel for more than an hour. Out of frustration at the terrible mounting design of the stock cooler, I decided to go ahead and get the Cooler Master. When I was installing the Cooler Master, I was really impressed at how well the Cooler Master's mounting system worked. It was simple and straight-forward to install, and rock solid with its metal brackets and bolts - I love it! I'm now a die-tough Cooler Master fan!

Wonderful cooler. Best for the price tag. Functions as advertised. Receiving 36c idle and 52c under complete load. Much far better than the dinky factor that came with the Core i 2500k. Flat out poor intruction manual. Clumsy, if successful, mounting style. Comes with one 120m fan; if you want push-pull you want to order an additional seperately. If you're installing a Hyper 212+ on the ASUS P67 Deluxe, note that you can't have the fan point to the rear exhaust with out finding too close to the initially RAM slot. If you want to use that slot you will need to get a little creative with the fan.Motherboard: ASUS P8P67 DeluxeCPU: Cire i5 2500kCPU Fan: Coolmaster Hyper 212 PlusRAM: Corsair DominatorGPU: GeForce Nvidia GTX 260

I can't add anything that has not currently been stated in these testimonials. This is a beast of a cooler. OC my Phenom II 955 from 3.two to 3.8 and my idle temp went up 1c, prime 95 torture test oscillates among 49 and 50c . . . beast Doesn't fit Rosewill Crusier case with the sidefan installed, take out fan and it fits with space to spare. Not a con as significantly as a heads up for men and women. be patient with the install process

Keeps your cpu cool and secure for a excellent value and is super easy to install. Getting had troubles with cpu temperature in the past, becoming able to use a basic air cooled resolution that gets the job done without headache makes you really feel substantially smarter than you are. NONE There is even a video to show you specifically how to install here on the newegg website. Produced the whole method entirely painless.I employed this for both an intel and AMD create and each went so smoothly that installing the heatsink was my favorite portion each times. Both the bios and utility programs show good cooling even under load.Amazing product for the money.

oh wow, this is best. using the amd 965x4 3.4ghz quad core and on its stock cooler I would be hitting about 55c underload max load (with a 1ft fan blowing into my case) and with this beauty, after a 10 minute stress test, cpu never went above 42c.34 bucks is an incredible cost for this thing, and the reality that you can mount two 120mm fans on this is just incredible. when the personal computer is turning on, the fan appears to take a couple of tries to get spinning, it constantly spins up in the finish but makes me a bit nervous...also, its a bit massive I guess. bought this via greatest acquire instead of newegg (had to get rid of giftcards)

Good cooling. Superior airflow from the fan into my rear case fan. Major Fin column on heat sink undoubtedly dissipates the heat from my cpu. Quite quiet fan, and with computer software(motherboard vendors/third party) can very easily turn down RPM to un-noticeable levels and nonetheless get good cooling. Replaces my stock AMD x2 555 CPU Cooler and the distinction is great. It is A LOT taller/bigger then stock coolers but sort of has to be to get this kind of cooling proper? Directions, like every person else has stated, are extremely confusing. I watched a lot of videos just before it arrived so i knew in my head how to do it, but 1 appear at the paper n i was confused. Just dont appear at the paper instructions. It is bigger then most stock cpu coolers but its not incredibly heavy when mounted on the board. And the cooling+noise is incredible. My stock case fans are louder then this thing. Went from around 34-39c idle኉-51c load with stock. Now im in the 18-20c idle/ 22-24c load. =) Like this thing. Also, it does fit in the Rosewill CHALLENGER Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Personal computer Case. It looks like it wouldnt and with side panel on, it LOOKS like its touching, but it doesnt.

I really like this item. I am at the moment using it on my Phenom II Black Edition x2 3.2ghz overclocked to three.9ghz (lets say 4.0ghz :P)On idle use, temps sit under 20*C largely at 18*C.In the course of use with a load, temps only go as high as 38*C ࿉*C is the highest ive noticed it go, and thats with Crysis 2)Fan is really quiet. Runs incredibly well. This product is excellent. This product is not hard at all to install, just... tedious/tricky whatnot. It is very big, and will not fit in most instances (i got lucky). However if it does fit, unless your very cautious, u may need to have aid holding it up although installing. Other than that, no cons seriously. Really like it.
