Very good unit, replaced my older D-LINK with this one. The interface hasn't changed much but the response time for actions and submissions has been greatly improved. Behind this router I game, stream audio and video, with 3 workstations making constant requests, as well as a number of wireless devices and systems on the network as well with no speed or qaulity impact. Nice router for the home or small business and well worth the price.

very solid router that gives great coverage and works well with older b/g clients. has tons of options in the admin interface, and I found it easy to configure what I needed since every setting has detailed help built in. The default config will suffice for most folks though. great speed while gaming/downloading/torrenting.only negative is the status lights on the front are insanely bright and very annoying. either get the unit out of view or cover them up if you're sensitive to super bright flashy things that substitute for a lamp.

This router is the bomb. I use it for my wireless netbook and for gaming on my desktop. No lag, no problems, and the downloading speed for movies and games are amazing. I love this router. The only problem was the installation, but I called technical support and they were unbelievably easy and helpful. I was finished in 2 minutes with their help.

Way faster than what I got from telus. And more stable too. But I still have to test it if it will work with modem router because we got optik from telus.

Impessed: Streamed HD Netflix & digital audio simultaneously to 2 separate units using WIFI. X-box live far from router is good enough using WIFI. Decent router for the money, very stable, improved range and speed.

Bought this to replace my existing router and so far has disappointed. Been giving my same if not better speeds when playing online. The GUI can be a little confusing at first but once you learn all the features its great and highly customizable. If you have a large network then the 4 ports won't cut it and you will need to get yourself a switch. Otherwise great router

Overall a really great router. Pick one up on sale and its a superb deal. It covers the entire house and works very well for streaming video to my Boxee in the other room.

Great wireless router, but as the blue LED's on the front are extremely bright, you won't want to place in a dark room...unless you like the blue ambiance.

This router seems to give a much faster transfer speed when going through multiple walls compared to my d-link wbr 2310. I'm quite happy with it so far, except i had to cover up the front, those blue lights are very bright. Shines down the hall from the office to the bedroom. Not a complaint, just found it amusing.

I needed a new router with wireless capability with the ability to handle a MySQL database server, a game server and still fulfill my home LAN requirements. This is like the non "|337" big brother to the dgl-4300, so instead of a lot of silly gamer specific lingo you get normal networking topics in the configuration menu -- no biggie, but made me feel better.I've run this thing through a lot of line quality tests from dslreports and while throughput is no different, I have noticed a significant drop  in latency in my first hop, and the thing handles multitudes of simultaneously connections with ease.a great product.

Overall this is the best router I have owned. DLink really did a great job when making this product. It is easy to use, the signal is great and has great range for my bungalow. I can reach all the way to the other end of the house which I could not do with any other wireless router. I would recommend this product because it works great, easy to use and just lookds great.

Have spent a long time trying to get my iPhone 4 connected to this thing on a WPA secured network... not really sure what the issue is, though my laptop wouldn't connect to it either; I had to set up an unsecured guest network for the moment. Most likely this is my own fault and a password issue, however. In terms of signal strength it's great, and I get 75-100% when upstairs on the 2nd floor with the door closed, while the router's in the basement floor.

Realy good router. Picked this up with a price match for 89 CAD. No problems to set it up. Esy to use interface. Strong signal. No connection drops so far. A very nice piece especially for the Price of 89CAD. Only slight issues is with the fron LEDs. They are really bright. When you place the router close to your PC or TV it can get quite anoying especially when watching movies in dim or dark conditions. Have to palce it out of field of vision, so the lights and the glow dont distract you. Apart from that. I am quite happy and recommend.

Upgrading from the dir-615, vast improvement in the signal strength and transfer rate. The USB port/shareport must be configured & used by the software, only a minor problem.

I purchased the DIR-655 about a week ago, upgrading from a non-wireless setup. I was very happy with the product, it was very easy to assemble. Included with it was an easy setup CD, with step by step instructions. The entire setup took around 10 minutes to complete.The range of the wireless has not been fully tested, however it is far enough to go through 4 walls and a floor, allowing the use of wireless internet in the backyard.Port forwarding looked extremely confusing on first glance, but a quick google search showed that it was very simple. Overall I am very happy with this router, and will continue to use it until it is replaced.

Basically, I am very happy with this Wired/wireless router. It cost me $99 when I purchased it from Futureshop 2 years ago while it was on promotion.The setup for this router is very easy, type in the IP address of 192.0.0.1 and you can login its configuration page. The firmware is supported by offering newer version, it supports online firmware upgrade automatically or manually.Highly recommended for home network users. Also recommend to use CATE6 network cable to connect the router with your home modern so it gains the top speed of communication.

I've used this for nearly 3 years and never had a problem. My wireless N devices always sync at 300Mbps with it. It never drops connection or needs random reboots, which is the total opposite of my experience with a DIR-625 which had atrocious stability and dropped connection constantly. The 655, as long as you don't have firmware issues, is a very stable router that I plan on using for many more years.

I purchased this to replace my Linksys WTR54G, I believe it was. Out of the box and with no changes, the D-Link greatly outperformed the Linksys in overall signal strength. While it is Draft N, and I have Draft N compliant NICs, I can't say the speed was really much better, but considering the over-hyped performance of Draft N, that's not surprising.The router gave me a number of more configuration options (without having to get open source firmware) than my previous router, which was nice. There are still a few features I would like to see added, but as it is, it does the job of a home router nicely. The only complaint I really have deals with the UI. I have to say I found it very slow and at times unresponsive, and even sometimes crashed my browser (FF and IE). Even so, I was still always able to just re-login and get what I wanted to do done.A good product, especially if you can get it on sale.

This router works exactly as it's supposed to. Very fast. Can host two xbox 360's at the same time both with Open Nat. Great Buy.

Bought this product and it lasted less than 2 years. Also have had D-link wireless adapters that lasted MUCH too short a time before failure. Although this product works well while it is working, 2 years is FAR from an acceptable life expectancy.

If you think you have the best router, throw it away and BUY THIS ONE! Never fails on me and is super fast and easy to configure!
