I bought this to work with 2 gigabit LAN pcs and 2 wireless N connections on a shared 25mb connection. All I can say is WOW! 2 PC's running win7, 1 vista and 1 XP and not an issue setting up the secure network. I reccomend D-Link DWA-130 Wireless N Network Adapter, Item Number: D700-3048, for making desktops wireless. I can send 1GB wireless in about 7 mins.

Excellent N router at this price point. The feature set is amazing and build quality is top notch. Don't get fooled by sub $100 N routers. They either have very little or no cooling and will burn out under heavy use.This router also uses D-Links SharePort tech, which allows USB storage devices to be networked and Printer sharing.Excellent!

It was time to replace my old G router and after a long search I bought the D-Link DIR-655. It set up and connected easily and works just fine. The gigabit ports are nice.

Replaced my older Router with this one - primarily use wireless in the house, and was struggling with range - even running it without N adapters is 100% performance improvement over a G router - 2 laptops and a gamer online (no lag) can't slow it down -best performace for the price

Had an older router that couldn't reach throughout house, added this one and was capable to cover most of house. Very strong signal and easy to set up for non-computer geek.

Works like a router, gigabit ports are great. Has lots of features. I have a DSL connection and I cant really tell if the QOS is working or not. Maybe I dont have the settings correct. With the vast amount of settings available, I was not sure what settings I should be adjusting. Making this a little harder to setup vs a cheaper router. Overall though, it seems to be a good router.

After having issues with other routers, I read the description of this one from DLink and the reviews, and felt that the price would be worth the investment. I was correct. I actually lucked out and received a bad disk with the router and needed customer service to manually hook up the router over the phone. The DLink customer service is unlike any I have ever worked with. They walked me through each step of the process.

I recently upgraded my laptop to one with 802.11n and wanted a router that would give me the full benefit of the upgrade. I already owned an 802.11g router from D-Link so I went with a company I knew. This has been a great investment. The router was extremely easy to install and configure. The wireless speeds, even between floors in my raised ranch home, are excellent. The integrated gigabit switch has significantly increased the performance of my home network. You can get a less expensive 802.11n router, but I believe this is worth the money.

Bought a belkin, support ok, performance ok, but unstable. Bought a linksys, performance poor,impossible to configure with xbox, horrible support. Bought Dlink, good performance, stable, setup in record time.... thank you, thank you, thank you.

This is a great router that has performed excellent for me using many of the advanced features for network control and web access. This router is in the middle of a very intricate network.My only real complaint is the USB port not ever really working properly with the shareport software. It loses one star for D-Link not ever fixing this issue.

A must have for someone got a high speed connexion like cable 30Mbs/s, easy to configured with any kind of product of the brand, works great with DWA-556 adapter. The usb is very usefull to plug a inkjet printer, and the interface utility works great and its easy to install. Dont forget to take WPA2 to secure and its run like hell!

I bought this about a month ago and I have not had any problems. I always hate using the software that comes with products for the setup, so when I opened this and I saw the giant warning stickers about installing their software first, I was discouraged. Being the rebel that I am I went ahead and set it up myself without the included software, and with Vista it was easy and quick. All the other computers in my house switched over without a hiccup and now I am running 1GB throughout.

I bought this router to replace an old wireless G router that i have had for a few years. This router is much faster and so far i have never had to reset the router. With my old router my NAT was always strict to moderate even with port forwarding and Unpp, which made gaming a hassle sometimes. With this router i have 3 Xbox 360s(wired). playstion 3(wireless) 2 laptops (wireless). 1desktop (wired) and a wireless printer. NO LAG!! NAT always open, and speed and range improved. I am very satisfied with this router

I've never installed a router before this one and I found the set up incredibly simple. Even created a 'guest account' (with a timer) for the kids' DS's. We live in a 95 year old house with a decidedly 'closed' floorplan (lots of halls and walls) and the D-Link is mounted in the corner of the 2nd story. Nevertheless our laptop gets a speedy, clear connection thoughout our home. Very happy I sprung for a higher-end unit.

Have owned the router about 2 weeks, my first router. I had to contact D-Link tech support who got me up and going quickly. So far I have streamed internet video to laptop. Also,with D-Link's shareport usb port, I can print wirelessly from laptop to my printer that is connected to the router's usb port. Read the manual that is on the setup disk to learn about shareport configuration. I have used the laptop up to 60 feet from router without a problem. No major problems. With limited experience,I highly recommend the D-Link 655. Also, the price here was at least $30 less than others.

I have had nothing but problems with this router. It keeps droping out and will not keep an IP connection. There is little to no help from tech support. Go with another company!

Bought this router 2 years ago. Have had no problems with it. Works great with my Dlink DNS-321. And even though its in a crappy part of my basement my entire house still gets a perfect signal from it.

Although this router has many great features, you can't use any of them because a lot of these cannot save the router settings. This is apparent from the ammount of complaints on the DLINK forums. The firmware's dont fix any of these issues.

Very nice and easy setup, the web interface is simple but allows for advanced configuration. I currently do not own any N adapters but G is a step up from the Linksys b router that I was using before. Qos is a nice ability that I still need to learn to properly use.

The router was easy to set up and works well. The issue relates to trying to use the share port utility with a non-wireless printer. At times the software recognizes the printer is there, at times it doesn't. Either way, when it does recognize the printer I have printing issues at times. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. I'm going to download some firmware and see if I can fix it, otherwise I may have to share the printer off of one computer, like I was doing previously but I'd prefer to be able to leave that computer powered off. I have not called support yet.
