This hard drive is excatly what I needed and it works great. It's small, attractive and stable. I do not care that there is not an on-off switch, as I never leave my devices plugged in anyway after I turn them off, so it makes it no difference to me. I care about the performance and piece of mind that my backup files are safe, and this drive does it's job. Very happy and I have 2 of them.

I recommend this HD for anyone who needs more space for thier projects. I found that I needed it for all my genealogical and picture projects that could be dedicated for that one use. This has proven to very reliable HD for me and I have recommended it to my friends.

I simply needed more backup room for the larger HDD on my new PC. This was on sale, so I grabbed one. Worked flawlessly out of the box in both Vista and 7 64-bit. Only wish is that it had an on-off switch, like my older ext. drive. Recommend highly!

I had a portable desktop external hard drive that stopped working after a year of use. So far I have not had a problem with this item yet. It works by the schedule I have set for it, it's compact and neat looking and it's lightweight for easy portability.

I received my drive last week and when I plugged it in I discovered it is DOA. The power light on the back comes on but you can tell that the drive is not powering up (no noise what so ever from the device). TD issued a RMA number and I will try one more. I since have noticed on the reviews that this seems to be a typical problem. I guess the old statement 'You get what you paid for' applies here.

I got this hard drive two months ago. The model is sleek and compact. I also like that it has no internal battery. I just leave the USB plug connected and then plug in or unplug the device to save power. Excellent value!

I was little bit skeptic about this product after i read some reviews but I give it a try and I was in need for more space and I am very happy so far, it works good as expected

unlike the rest of the prople who reviewed this product, for me it was not plug and play. I had to search the web for a patch that allowed me to use this drive. Maybe it's my system (very old), but it should have started without issues. besides not having an on-off switch, everything works great. Overall, great product for the price.

Plugged the unit in and started using it right away. Did a System Image and then backed up the hard drive.

Plugged it in and backed-up my system for the first time - took half a day, but performed wonderfully. Did a large copy file from HDD to Iomega in windows 7, transferred at a rate of 17-25 Mb per Sec. That's good! I have a truck that will go 120mph, but I drive it under 60mph or less!

This was easy to use - just plug it in and start using it. I had a Seagate hard drive that just died on me after a week and this is so much better. I use it purely for backup purposes and it is a good drive at a good price.

Good deal for a Segate 1T SATA drive inside. Would be nice to have an on-of switch. Transfer is like 2MB per s using Total Command

This is a great product, especially for the sub $100 price tag. However, the transfer speed is slower than I had thought. I thought it would function just like my laptop hard-drive with a bit of lag. This is purely for backup of information that you do not plan to retrieve often.

Before I bought it, my computer wqs running very slow. After plugging it in, I was able to transfer files to the new drive and watch my cpu speed up. This is a great device and wish I had purchased it sooner.

I purchased one of these 1TB Iomega hard drives a couple months ago and just took it for granted that it should work. When I quickly filled it up with files, I realized that I was in need of another drive. After reading the customer reviews written about other drives that fail when they're bumped or knocked over, I quickly realized what a quality drive it was that I had. I have dropped this drive numerous times from desk level to the floor with no ill effects. That being said, I purchased a second one just like it with no further hesitation. While it is a little bulky, I would recommend these drives to anyone. When you're storing invaluable data and information, I can easily look past the bulk.

hooked up and started working, no problems. Have loaded about 40 music CDs on it so far and using about 15% total memory. No off on switch not a big deal to me- blue light blinks when storing data. Does not respond to the Safe Eject Hardware command on my computers- always shows as busy, even when it's not in use. Really great deal- might buy another!

I bought two of these units for my shop because of the large files we use regularly. They work great & with our computers freed of memory they are working faster. The only feature it does lack is an on & off switch. We always forget to unplug it.

Second drive (this particular one) I've bought from Tiger.. both are faster than other drives of same type and zero problems with either (one is already full). Almost time for number 3 and it will definitely be THIS one.
