Good Value and Performance
Comment:
Overall I am most pleased with the product. I am using it on an iMac with OS-X. My only problem has been that initially it would not let me put the whole 1Tb in a single partition. It had no problem giving me two 500Gb partitions, though. I was able to move a lot of archive data into each partition in a reasonable amount of time. JCR, Mount Juliet TN

Great product but needs a switch
Comment:
I was impressed with the price and once I got it, the unit fired up as expected, shows great performance. My only negative comment is that it would be great to have an ON/OFF switch, rather than having to unplug it to give it a rest.

At first this eemed like a great hard drive. everything works well. Then it accidently fell off the desk and doesn't work. Therefore OK product, treat with kid gloves.

It is a very simple one and does what it expected to do. Cheap price. I do wish it had a power on/off button though.

It Is What It Is
Comment:
I don't use this drive except once a week as a back-up. Plug it in, run a back-up routine, unplug it and put it on the shelf. It requires an electric plug and it came with no back-up software (hence a ding on 'Features') so bring your own. It's basically a 2-lb lump of data storage at a very low price. That's what I wanted and that's what I got.

Great
Comment:
It does exactly what I want it to do. I hooked it up to quietly back-up my other hard drives. And, it does just that. I'm completely backed up and I don't have to worry about it. Love this product.

Great little drive
Comment:
I bought this and another drive (Hammer MoreSpace 1TB) that I also reviewed highly. I think I like this one a little better. It syncs better with the PS3, where the Hammer has been a little flakey with it. I had gotten that for my husband and this one for me, but he wants to trade me because I won't have the PS3 with me while I'm traveling. I haven't decided yet whether I want to give it up. It runs cool, loads faster with the Digital Western Media Player, is a little less money, and has been flawless in performance to this point.

I was surprised when I went back online to view this item. It said not available. I don't know if that's 'sold out' or what it means. Mine is working well so far. It's a good thing it got here.

Could it be any simpler
Comment:
Ok - no on off button, other than that (which is no big deal) this drive is great. It is RIDICULOUSLY quiet - I have it sitting next to my WD320GB Hard drive and i can't even tell when the drive is accessing data. The access time after spin down is really fast (don't hear it spinning up) and doesn't get nearly as warm as 320G. I'll buy more of these when the sale comes back.

Very Good Product!
Comment:
Really simple plug-n-play for Windows users - no need to format (though I did, and modified the cluster size to suit my needs). I've been using it as my monthly redundant backup of other media, and keeping it in a fire safe.

Some quirks
Comment:
The USB and power cables are a little short, requiring location to be close to cpu, or use of extension cords ($5 for a USB extension was still cheaper than a different model). I also am unable to power up the computer if I leave the USB cable plugged in, requiring me to unplug the drive everytime I shut down...a minor hassle, but a hassle nonetheless. Works great, lots of space, really quick drive access, and super quiet. Very pleased with the purchase, especially at this price.

Comment:
Worried that the instructions weren't more detailed until I realized there was no need. True plug and play. Nothin' to fiddle with, it installs itself, cool.

Great Drive, But No Shut Off?
Comment:
Point off for not having a shut off switch, but otherwise, a great value. Does what it says it will do...gives you a lot of hard drive for a little money. Truly plug and play in windows. I'm a donosaur, so I formatted it anyway, but I was impressed that I didn't have to. Super quiet! And, as usual, they had it on my door step in two days.

Awesome Value & Awesome Product!
Comment:
Drive is light and small, very portable. Setup on Windows Vista was a snap. Quiet and fast operation. I can't believe this cost me under $100 including tax, shipping, etc for 1 TB. Worth the money!
