Good at first
Comment:
I have owned 2 Omega hard drives and just want to say they work great for the first year and once your warranty is up, bam. Nothing. Wont power on. Tried different power cords still nothing. I suggest a secondary back up and an extended warranty from squaretrade.

Great Product
Comment:
This is my first purchase for the 1TB Iomega...and need not say no more...like they say...reputation proceeds a product and Iomega has done a great job with this one...no problem what so ever...I use Vista and no issues with installation. It makes no noise what so ever and it doesnt get that hot...not even warm when its working...so thank you for making this product available at your site.

Big capacity for its price
Comment:
This was the best value out there for a 1TB external HD, and it works great so far. One feature it could use, though, is a power switch.

You can't beat the performance for the price
Comment:
Even though the unit lacks and ON/OFF switch, it is very functional, easy-to-use and portable. I can move it back-and-forth from my desktop(s) to the laptop at will. The suprise about the 1TB unit is the speed. I can now copy gigabytes of data from my main drive to the Iomega unit at will with little or no delay time.

Great Price, but no on/off switch
Comment:
This was a great HD for the price. I'll only be using it to back up video files. I was planning to have it plugged in and connected to the wall at all times but unfortunately I missed the part that this HD lacks a switch to turn it on or off. So, being a guy who saves movie files as I save energy I have to plug it in to the wall every time the need to use it arrives.

Tons of space!
Comment:
I love the room this hard drive offers but i wished they had put a power button or auto on/off circuit on it so i don't have to plug and unplug it all of the time.

As advertised
Comment:
Received product promptly and so far it is everything I had expected. It is actually much faster than I had expected for a USB connection.

Good Price
Comment:
Set up of the drive was easy. Write speed was not an issue for me. My only complaint is that the instructions were sparse. I'm still unclear if I am supposed to unplug the drive when it is not in use because it does heat up slightly.

Nice deal but cant replace huge memry pen drives
Comment:
really nice deal for a nice price...1 TB hugeee stirage,it was easy to use just plug and play .... only one complaint..i beleive it was my oversight but i dint want something that needs its own power supply when in operation,i was expecting to use it as a replacement for USB..though not in size :)...but i cannot as it needs its own power supply so if u have ur data in the disk and u r travellin you cannot access it as u need power supply....it does not use the laptop power....it was a pure oversight from my end and wont blame the product for it ,...its more of a backup thing rather than file transfer etc

Great Storage for the Price
Comment:
Does everything it was advertised to do. Store all my pictures, word documents and a few hundred CD's with plenty to spare. It is a good product and the only disadvantage is the size. For an $89 1TB drive I couldn't ask for more.

The best $89 ever spent
Comment:
What's your stuff worth? Do you edit pictures? Do you edit home video? Track contact with emails? Keep tax and business records on your computer? Keep Music or your baby's first words on your computer? If you answered yes to any one of these then this could be the best insurance policy you can get! Review: it has performed very well so far and I have no issues at $89 why would you not get it? It seems somewhat slower than my firewire2 version but if you back up even once a day it's not a big deal.

Decent product
Comment:
Speed and performance are great on the unit. Heat didn't seem to be an issue as there are a decent amount of vents. It's not Iomega's fault but the board on the hard drive failed after only 2 months of use. It's a seagate 7200.12. It also needs a on/off switch.

Large hard drive that runs slowly on a network
Comment:
Great deal, but best connected directly to your computer (still not very fast there either). On the network over wireless, it is slow, and no it isn't our network. Even connected directly to the computer it is slow, but you get what you pay for. I'd still buy it at this price.

Attaching is a no brainer taking less than a minute to get 931 GB of storage space. Saving onto my F drive works flawlessly.

I traded this in for another brand because it was noisy and heated up. Wouldn't get this brand again.

Great product great price
Comment:
Holy Moly this thing is fast! Treansferred around 10 gig of pictures in like 2 or 3 minutes. I was backing up all my photos and was expecting to hit enter and go make dinner while I waited...was half done before I stood up. Quiet, runs pretty cool. At a Terabyte not sure what else I could ask for... glad I got it.

Simply Great
Comment:
Just 3 years ago I got 320GB for $90 and a month ago I got 1TB for the same price. This hard drive is great. I split the hard drive so that 200 GB is Fat 32 and the other is NTFS. I use the 200GB part to back up my PS3 and remaining to back up my Laptop. Have not had a problem yet.
