Delivery was great --- as usual. This is a really neat tool. I used it with an 80G Western Digital IDE drive and it worked great. You can use this to make ANY hard drive into an external drive. It has everything you need --- power supply, cables, etc. Yet it is all in a small package, so you can take it in your tool kit. I wish I had found this years ago.

I got this to use with some of the older IDE drives I have laying around. I couldn't get it to work with any of my WD drives. It did work with one Seagate drive. I talked with tech support and they told me that it will not work with drives older the 20Gig size. Did not say that in the ad. Also the WD drives will not work at all now. The teck guy said that's not his problem. Don't buy unless you have newer drives.

I ordered this for a fellow tech after I got tired of loaning mine, which is exactly like this one. What makes it the best of its type is the LEDs which tell you at a glance what is happening. It is well built with features like a moulded power plug on the power adapter. Other cables of this type do not have these features and are cheaper, but in this case, you get what you pay for. Get this product for painless recovery of data from various types of hard drives. I have used this several times in the past and don't know what I would do without it. It is an essential tool in your computer do-it-yourself toolbox.

I tried this product with 3 different hard drives and it worked as advertised in all cases. The palstic body of the adapter is too wide for some drives that have the data and power connectors immediately next to one another. All the other mfrs seem to have the same problem though.

just plug and play with an old 4 gig internal hard drive. Used to retrive need old data. Surprized it worked really. Had to use power supply and almost 20 yr old hard drive just spun right up.. Gee can things be this simple?

This device has been excellent. It has worked with everything I connected to it. If I had to say anything negative about this, it might be to suggest slightly better instructions for non-technical people (not that is complicated) but then again you most likely wouldn't be looking to buy this unless you had some technical savvy.

I almost went and paid someone to get data from the drive for $200, I saw this and gave it a shot and it worked saved me money and got all my data from the drive.

I had updated my Motherboard and it only takes the newer SATAII HDD's, but I still had data on my old IDE drive that I wanted. I was able to use this to transfer all the data from my old drives onto my new ones. Great Product and price.

I bought this and within seconds I was able to copy all the files and pictures that were on a laptop hard drive from my broken laptop. I used the ide connector via USB and took only seconds to retrive my files. Great value.

I am not in love with all of their products, but this item is perfect. If you do your own tech work, it is essential get-the-job-done connections. It is not an ideal solution for ''permanent'' drive setups, but rather a swiss army knife for problem solving. LOVE IT!

I needed a cable to connect an IDE drive to my computer to transfer data off of it. I purchase this cable because it was inexpensive and compact. I connected the drive and everything worked great. Now I can connect either IDE SATA drives to my system easily for quick transfer and backup storage. Highly recommend this device.

I've used it 2-3 times now (with SATA drives), and it performed as advertised. Haven't needed either IDE connector, so I can't speak to their functionality. But the thing feels solid so I expect they'll work just fine. My only gripe is that the power cord is a bit short, but if you're a techie you'll have plenty of longer ones around.

I keep purchasing this device, not because they break, but because I find them so helpful that I give them away to techies who do not have them. This last one worked fine, as always, but would not fit a CD drive that we were testing. I took a knife and shaved a little plastic off the power plug (where it plugged into the CDROM) and it worked fine from there on. Excellent device!

This product is compact, light weight,simple to use and do'es what it is supposed to do.Works great for readig laptop HDD's that won't boot because of some Bios problem or corupted OS. you simply connect to a desktop and read,or copy it. copy then fix.Of course TD is consistently on time with process and shipping!...
